  • • The advisor will provide hands-on, strategic support to clients across the East Coast USA in a remote, part-time capacity (up to 15 hours/week), managing certification lifecycles from application through renewal, advising on ownership and control structures, reviewing documentation for affiliation risks, and ensuring ongoing compliance with SBA audits and reporting requirements—this is not an administrative role but a high-impact advisory position requiring deep subject matter expertise.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Proven experience supporting SBA small business certifications, including 8(a), SDVOSB, and HUBZone applications, maintenance, and renewals.
  • • Strong working knowledge of SBA regulations, particularly eligibility rules, affiliation standards, and compliance requirements for federal small business programs.
  • • Direct experience with Joint Ventures and Mentor-ProtĂ©gĂ© Programs, including structuring SBA-compliant agreements and managing ongoing program compliance.
  • • Experience supporting SBA audits, reporting requirements, and annual review processes, including documentation preparation and client guidance during compliance reviews.
  • • Background in government contracting, either as a prime contractor or subcontractor, with familiarity of federal procurement environments.
  • • Ability to manage multiple clients and shifting priorities simultaneously in a remote, part-time setting with minimal oversight.
