- • You will be instrumental in developing and maintaining a crucial forecast model for grants payments, extending beyond the capabilities of existing systems like Medidata Payments. This involves not only building the initial model but also taking ownership of its ongoing updates, improvements, and enhancements, ensuring its accuracy and relevance.
- • A significant aspect of your role will be to contribute to the process development of forecasting outside of Medidata Payments. You will analyze how these new forecasting processes integrate with and complement the forecasts generated by Medidata Payments, creating a cohesive and comprehensive financial outlook.
- • You will collaborate closely with a diverse range of internal teams, including Revenue Recognition, Clinical Payments, Investigator Grants Payments, and Project Analysts. Your insights and data analysis will also support other departments that contribute essential data to the forecasting and payment of clinical sites.
- • Your work will directly contribute to the development of an end-to-end forecasting process for Clinical Site Payments, ensuring that financial projections are robust and reliable.
- • A key deliverable will be the creation of client-ready forecast formats. You will translate complex financial data into clear, concise reports that Project Analysts can seamlessly incorporate into their Financial Client Deliverables, enhancing transparency and client satisfaction.
- • You will actively gather and analyze current site enrollment and patient enrollment data, both actuals and forecasts, in close partnership with Central Planning and Clinical Operations teams.
- • You will be responsible for linking your independently developed forecast model with the forecasts generated by Medidata Payments, ensuring data consistency and a unified financial view.
- • Working with the FP&A Revenue Recognition team, you will confirm adherence to all requirements necessary for financial audits, upholding the highest standards of financial integrity.
- • You will perform detailed forecast analysis, comparing planned versus actual expenditures and assessing total budget needs in relation to sponsor agreements.
- • Proactively notify Project Analysts and Global Project Leads of any identified issues related to over or under forecast variances, enabling timely intervention and adjustments.
- • You will ensure strict compliance with all audit requirements and provide essential support during year-end and interim audit processes, demonstrating a commitment to financial governance.
- • Your role will involve supporting the Cost of Goods (CO) process, contributing to the overall financial management of projects.
- • You are expected to stay abreast of local and global revenue regulations, ensuring that all financial practices are compliant and up-to-date.
- • You will guarantee accurate and timely reporting to clients, strictly adhering to specified client requirements and contractual obligations.
- • Upon study close-out, you will conduct the final reconciliation of payments and provide Project Analysts with definitive client-ready reports for their final review and submission.
- • This role requires an ability to influence stakeholders and challenge assumptions when necessary, driving best practices in financial analysis and reporting.
- • A foundational understanding of the process of paying clinical trial sites is essential for effective analysis and collaboration.
- • Familiarity with Accounting and Revenue Recognition standards is crucial for ensuring compliance and accurate financial reporting.
- • You will leverage your strong analytical skills to interpret complex datasets and derive actionable insights.
- • Proficiency in Excel, databases, and accounting systems is a prerequisite for managing and manipulating financial data effectively.
- • A degree-level education combined with 2-5 years of relevant finance experience will provide the necessary foundation for success in this role.
