- • The Graphics and Marketing Specialist role at General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) supports the Indian Health Service (IHS) HITMOD Program by translating complex health IT modernization initiatives into clear, engaging, and accessible visual communications for diverse stakeholders, including clinical, administrative, and leadership audiences within American Indian and Alaska Native communities.
- • This fully remote position plays a strategic role in elevating awareness, adoption, and understanding of federal health IT efforts through marketing-driven design that aligns with IHS mission goals, federal standards, and public trust requirements.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include developing strategic marketing assets such as digital campaigns, presentations, infographics, reports, posters, and print collateral that amplify key HITMOD messages and support outreach and change management efforts.
- • The specialist applies core marketing and advertising principles to translate program strategies, milestones, and goals into effective, action-driven visual communications that enhance stakeholder engagement and drive program adoption.
- • Collaboration with program leadership, marketing, communications, and technical teams is essential to ensure designs accurately reflect HITMOD strategies and messaging through compelling visual storytelling.
- • The role requires maintaining visual consistency in alignment with IHS branding, federal design standards, and accessibility requirements, including Section 508 compliance for digital and print materials.
- • Supporting internal and external campaigns related to health IT modernization, system adoption, training, and stakeholder education is a key function, requiring the ability to communicate complex technical and healthcare information clearly to varied audiences.
- • All materials must meet federal quality, branding, accessibility, and approval standards, with the specialist managing multiple design and marketing projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a highly collaborative environment.
- • The position involves the development, revision, and delivery of internal and external communications materials and marketing campaigns, ensuring timely and high-quality output across all touchpoints.
- • The specialist contributes to organizational impact by helping improve health outcomes for underserved communities through effective communication of critical health IT advancements.

🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- • 8+ years of professional graphic design experience with demonstrated work in marketing strategy and advertising
- • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and experience with presentation design tools (e.g., PowerPoint)
- • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Level 5 clearance
- • Strong portfolio showcasing strategic, marketing-driven design work
- • Ability to travel up to 25%
