📋 Description

• The GRC Analyst supports Juniper Square’s governance, risk, and compliance program, with a focus on third-party risk management to ensure security, compliance, and trust across vendor relationships.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting vendor risk assessments during onboarding, performing annual monitoring and re-assessments, maintaining vendor inventory, triaging technical security requests, and improving the classification and management framework for critical vendors.
• The role involves supporting compliance efforts by gathering control evidence for auditors, monitoring control effectiveness year-round, maintaining the trust center, and assisting sales and customer teams with security and privacy inquiries.
• The analyst contributes to governance by updating policies annually, managing policy exceptions, developing role-specific security and privacy training, and overseeing training rollout and completion.
• They collect and report on key GRC performance metrics and maintain business unit risk registers monthly in collaboration with internal teams.
• The position requires benchmarking and driving improvements to the vendor security risk management program, developing reports and analytics for leadership visibility, and partnering cross-functionally to implement scalable TPRM processes.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in information systems, engineering, business, risk management, or a related field
• 5+ years of security/GRC experience, including substantial experience with vendor security risk management and performing vendor security reviews/audits
• Proven experience managing and improving vendor security risk programs, including familiarity with vendor security questionnaires for third-party assessments
• Direct experience, knowledge, and understanding of major security frameworks, regulations, and standards such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001
• Experience working effectively with diverse teams to influence security and compliance outcomes across the organization (e.g., Procurement, IT, Security, Engineering, Legal)
• Experience developing and maintaining scalable GRC processes
• Ability to partner with stakeholders collaboratively to implement a scalable approach to TPRM
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
