📋 Description

  • Serve as the primary technical voice for commercial prospects and customers in the DACH market, guiding them through Vanta’s GRC platform to ensure technical fit and alignment with their compliance needs.
  • Develop deep expertise in Vanta’s product capabilities, integrations, configurations, partner ecosystem, and competitive landscape to effectively articulate value during pre-sales engagements.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales teams to support end-to-end customer journeys, including trial onboarding, technical demonstrations, and post-sales transition.
  • Build customized product examples, documentation, and resources tailored to customer-specific GRC requirements and regulatory frameworks such as SOC 2, HIPAA, and ISO 27001.
  • Gather and synthesize customer feedback on product functionality and pain points to inform product roadmap priorities and improve solution design.
  • Maintain full German language proficiency to conduct all customer interactions, presentations, and technical discussions in German, ensuring clear communication with DACH-based prospects and clients.
  • Work in-person at the London office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays as part of a hybrid schedule, with no remote-only option for this role.
  • Leverage hands-on experience with AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure to evaluate customer cloud environments and recommend appropriate Vanta integrations.
  • Demonstrate strong project management skills in a fast-paced startup environment, managing multiple concurrent customer engagements with minimal structure.
  • Apply prior experience in GRC programmes—whether as an in-house practitioner, internal/external auditor, or vendor representative—to empathize with customer challenges and deliver relevant solutions.
  • Utilize scripting knowledge (Python, Ruby, Bash, JavaScript) to automate tasks, interpret API responses, and support integration workflows.
  • Understand REST API development and service integrations to facilitate seamless connectivity between Vanta and customer systems.
  • Foster a collaborative, creative, and continuous improvement culture within the pre-sales team and across departments.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the pre-to-post-sales transition process, improving customer retention and satisfaction.
  • Maintain meticulous attention to detail when configuring solutions, documenting processes, and ensuring compliance alignment for each customer.
  • Engage in active listening during customer conversations, balancing strategic discussions with deep-dive technical analysis.
  • Contribute to team-wide initiatives aimed at improving sales enablement, customer education, and solution scalability.

🎯 Requirements

  • 5+ years of customer-facing, technical experience as a Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, or equivalent
  • Full German language proficiency required for DACH market engagement
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms: AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure
  • Previous B2B SaaS experience
  • Strong project management skills in a startup environment
  • Familiarity with REST API development and service integrations
