Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the UK market end-to-end: you will be the single accountable leader for World’s growth, compliance, and brand reputation across England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. From the Orb deployments in Shoreditch to pop-up activations in Edinburgh, every metric, headline, and user smile is yours to influence.
- • Build and nurture a high-performing Operator network: source, vet, contract, and continuously coach 30-50 Orb Operators and event partners. You will run weekly performance clinics, quarterly business reviews, and ad-hoc “Orb Masterclasses” to keep every team member aligned with global SOPs, local regulations, and customer-experience standards.
- • Drive sustainable user acquisition: translate global OKRs into UK-specific growth sprints. You will set weekly verification targets, design incentive structures, and A/B-test location strategies (football stadiums vs. music festivals vs. university campuses). Expect to move from 350k weekly global verifications to 500k+ with the UK contributing a double-digit share.
- • Be the regulatory compass: sit at the intersection of Legal, Policy, and Ops to ensure GDPR, UK GDPR, PSR, and emerging AI/identity rules are baked into every campaign. You will draft risk assessments, file DPIAs, and brief the PR team before any public activation so that “compliant by design” is more than a slide.
- • Craft unforgettable brand moments: co-create campaigns with Marketing that turn biometric identity verification into a conversation people actually want to join. Think immersive Orb lounges at London Tech Week, TikTok-ready pop-ups at Wireless Festival, and thought-leadership panels with the UK’s top privacy advocates.
- • Turn data into decisive action: build Looker dashboards that track footfall, conversion, NPS, and cost-per-verification by postcode. When a Manchester location under-indexes, you will be on a train the next morning to diagnose and fix it—whether the issue is signage, staffing, or local sentiment.
- • Scale through operational excellence: document every repeatable process, pilot new hardware accessories (queue-management stanchions, privacy booths), and roll out a “UK Playbook” that can be cloned for Ireland or the Nordics. Your templates will become the gold standard used by peers on three continents.
- • Be the cultural bridge: translate Silicon-Valley velocity into British business etiquette. You will brief US product teams on why UK users care about NHS data parallels, and you’ll explain to UK partners why a 48-hour iteration cycle is not only possible but necessary.
- • Travel and presence: expect 30–40 % travel across the UK and occasional trips to Berlin or San Francisco for quarterly summits. You are the face of World at local meet-ups, regulator roundtables, and university guest lectures.
- • Report and grow: present monthly board-level updates to the Regional Manager, Western Europe, highlighting wins, risks, and resource asks. Over time, you will hire a small UK squad (Community Manager, Ops Analyst) and shape the org chart as the market matures.
