- • Senior Commercial Counsel at Mozilla Corporation, a mission-driven non-profit-backed technology company shaping the internet for the better over 25 years through products like Firefox, used by over 225 million people monthly.
- • The role involves serving as a trusted legal advisor across Mozilla’s business teams, providing proactive, solution-oriented guidance on commercial matters while supporting diverse initiatives in AI, social media, security, and more.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include building cross-functional relationships, drafting and negotiating B2B enterprise and SaaS agreements, strategic partnerships, marketing and vendor contracts, managing multiple projects with limited oversight, and partnering with teams in Global Business Group, Business Development, and Product organizations to drive deal execution.
- • The Commercial Legal team supports every part of Mozilla’s business, and this role offers the opportunity to deepen expertise in commercial technology agreements, strengthen stakeholder influence, and contribute to an organization committed to an open, accessible internet and values like welcoming differences, being relationship-minded, practicing responsible participation, and having grit.
- • The person in this role will grow their ability to balance business objectives with legal risk, lead complex transactions autonomously, and make tangible impact on Mozilla’s mission to reclaim the internet for people, not companies.
🎯 Requirements
- • J.D. degree and active membership in a state bar in good standing
- • 4–8 years of relevant legal experience, including prior in-house counsel experience
- • Proven experience negotiating and drafting commercial technology agreements, including SaaS and Data Processing Agreements (DPAs)
