- • Receive GTM hypotheses such as "Series B–D SaaS companies that recently hired a Head of Operations" or "mid-market enterprises with distributed ops teams scaling headcount" and translate them into precise, actionable lists of target companies and contacts
- • Use Clay, Apollo, or similar lead enrichment tools to source, filter, and enrich leads by layering in firmographics, hiring signals, funding rounds, tech stack, headcount growth, and other relevant data points
- • Perform rigorous quality assurance on output by validating contact accuracy, removing misfits, and flagging ambiguous cases with clear reasoning for review
- • Refine lead lists post-experiment based on feedback from the sales team, adjusting filter logic when certain accounts fail to convert to improve future list quality
- • Document methodology for each hypothesis to ensure reproducibility, eliminating the need to rebuild lists from scratch for similar future experiments
- • Suggest improvements to GTM hypothesis definitions by identifying patterns in conversion data, account behavior, or enrichment gaps
- • Work independently with loosely defined hypotheses, asking targeted clarifying questions to refine scope and ensure alignment with sales objectives
- • Focus exclusively on lead list quality — not outbound execution, which is owned by the sales team
- • Operate within a B2B SaaS environment, understanding the nuances of VC-backed startup funding stages, hiring patterns, and mid-market enterprise buying dynamics
- • Maintain high standards for data integrity, prioritizing precision and relevance over volume in lead generation
- • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales and growth teams to ensure lead lists directly support experiment outcomes and pipeline goals
- • Continuously evaluate and adapt tool usage based on data reliability, coverage, and enrichment depth across platforms like LinkedIn Sales Nav, Clearbit, Crunchbase, and intent data providers
- • Deliver consistent, high-quality outputs under variable hypothesis complexity, adapting quickly to new target segments and data sources
- • Maintain a systematic approach to data sourcing and validation, ensuring all enriched leads meet defined quality thresholds before handoff
- • Contribute to process optimization by identifying inefficiencies in current enrichment workflows and proposing scalable improvements
- • Work with a contract-based structure, with potential to transition to retainer or full-time based on performance and mutual fit after 90 days
🎯 Requirements
- • Deep, hands-on experience with Clay, Apollo, or similar lead enrichment platforms
- • Proven ability to pull and combine data from multiple sources including Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Nav, Clearbit, Crunchbase, funding databases, and intent data providers
- • Strong judgment for identifying high-quality B2B leads, prioritizing accuracy and relevance over volume
- • Solid understanding of the VC-backed startup ecosystem (funding stages, hiring signals, growth indicators) and mid-market enterprise buying dynamics
- • Background in sales research, SDR, or data enrichment at a B2B SaaS company
- • Ability to work autonomously from loosely defined hypotheses and ask clarifying questions to refine target criteria
