- • The GTME Talent Lead at Clay Labs Inc. is a mini-founder role responsible for scaling the GTME Talent Marketplace from a high-touch, manual process into a measurable, scalable program that connects elite go-to-market experts (GTMEs) with enterprise clients (ENT) seeking top-tier talent.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include owning end-to-end GTME vetting, building the ENT-side pipeline, running match-making motions, instrumenting match quality metrics (6- and 12-month retention, repeat-hire rates, satisfaction), and closing cross-functional loops with Campus, Community, Partnerships, and GTM Partnerships teams.
- • Clay Labs is a high-growth AI-driven growth platform backed by Sequoia, CapitalG, and First Round, with $100M+ revenue and a $5B valuation, serving clients like Anthropic, Notion, Google, and Ramp; the company fosters a uniquely creative culture where employees pursue diverse passions from DJing to skydiving and have access to world-class coaches.
- • In this role, you will develop deep expertise in two-sided marketplace dynamics, talent vetting frameworks, enterprise hiring signals, and data-driven match quality measurement — while shaping how the GTME role is defined, hired, and deployed globally through thought leadership and hands-on execution.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience scaling a talent function, marketplace, or matching motion with a non-negotiable quality bar and ownership of measurement outcomes
- • High-taste judgment in assessing candidate fit — ability to distinguish between candidates who will thrive in different environments (e.g., Scale AI vs. early-stage founder-led teams)
- • Comfort with high-touch, judgment-driven work including intake calls, pattern-matching, and trust-building; preference for manual processes over premature automation
- • Experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, marketplaces, or GTM hiring (preferred but not required)
- • Hunger and drive demonstrated through prior scaling efforts — not just potential
- • Ability to say no to protect marketplace integrity, even when it disappoints popular candidates or partners
