- • As Head of AI within Scaleway’s Engineering Leadership Team, you will lead the AI Tribe in shaping the future of sovereign cloud AI infrastructure in Europe, driving innovation in inference, LLMs, agentic AI, and TUI technologies to support Scaleway’s mission of building a responsible, high-performance cloud alternative to global hyperscalers.
- • You will define and execute the strategic vision for AI products, oversee the development of the 'AI Galaxy' across LLMs, agentic systems, and Text User Interfaces, and ensure alignment with Scaleway’s sovereign cloud objectives and SecNumCloud standards, acting as both a technical leader and organizational architect for a rapidly growing team.
- • You will lead a collaborative, international team of 11 engineers organized into three specialized sub-teams supported by shared SRE resources, fostering a culture of ownership, agility, and technical excellence while partnering with Engineering Managers, Architects, and Tech Leads to deliver scalable, secure AI solutions.
- • Your daily responsibilities include managing organizational structure, driving product delivery milestones, mentoring technical leads, advocating for innovation across stakeholders, and ensuring that AI initiatives advance Scaleway’s commitment to sustainable, renewable-powered cloud infrastructure.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in sovereign AI systems, influence the direction of European cloud technology at scale, and grow as a strategic engineering leader within the Iliad Group, with clear pathways for internal mobility and impact across multiple entities.
🎯 Requirements
- • Extensive experience (10+ years) in software engineering and leadership roles, with proven success in managing large-scale, high-stakes engineering projects.
- • Deep understanding of AI inference, Large Language Models (LLMs), Agentic AI, and Text User Interfaces (TUI), including hands-on or architectural experience with these technologies.
- • Familiarity with sovereign cloud requirements and SecNumCloud standards, demonstrating awareness of European data sovereignty, security, and compliance frameworks.
