📋 Description
- • Are you a data visionary ready to architect the analytics function for a hyper-growth B2B SaaS company? AirOps, the leading content engineering platform for the AI era, is seeking a Head of Analytics to build and lead our entire analytics operation. In a rapidly evolving landscape where AI-driven discovery is paramount, AirOps empowers marketing teams at industry leaders like Ramp, Chime, Carta, and Rippling to transform content quality into a sustainable competitive advantage. We are experiencing explosive growth, having quintupled our revenue in the past year, and are backed by top-tier investors including Greylock, Unusual Ventures, Wing VC, and Founder Collective. This is your chance to shape the future of data-driven decision-making at a company at the forefront of intelligent marketing systems.
- • As the Head of Analytics, you will be the ultimate owner of our analytics function, encompassing Go-To-Market (GTM) and revenue analytics, product analytics, and company-wide Business Intelligence (BI). You will define our analytics philosophy, establish the necessary infrastructure, and translate complex data into actionable insights that will directly influence our growth trajectory. This is a deeply hands-on role, requiring you to be comfortable diving into the data warehouse to write SQL queries, construct sophisticated attribution models, and present critical findings to the executive team, often within the same day. You will be instrumental in building this function from the ground up, establishing best practices and setting the standard for data utilization across the organization.
- • Your core responsibilities will span several critical areas:
- • *GTM & Revenue Analytics:**
- • Architect and own the complete end-to-end reporting layer, meticulously tracking the customer journey from initial lead generation through to pipeline development and final cash realization. This includes developing executive dashboards that provide clear visibility into pipeline velocity, conversion rates at each stage, Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) payback periods, and comprehensive full-funnel attribution.
- • Design, implement, and continuously refine a robust multi-touch attribution (MTA) framework. You will also evaluate and potentially implement marketing mix modeling (MMM) approaches to ensure accurate measurement of channel Return on Investment (ROI) and to inform strategic budget allocation decisions.
- • Act as the primary analytics thought partner for the executive leadership team. Your role will involve translating complex GTM performance data into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations regarding resource allocation, channel optimization, and overall GTM strategy refinement.
- • *Product Analytics:**
- • Take full ownership of product analytics, defining the key metrics and methodologies for measuring user engagement, feature adoption, activation rates, customer retention, and expansion opportunities across the entire customer lifecycle.
- • Establish critical connections between product usage signals and tangible revenue outcomes. You will identify and surface leading indicators of potential customer expansion and churn risk, providing invaluable insights that inform both the product roadmap and the GTM strategy.
- • *Analytics Strategy & Infrastructure:**
- • Define and champion the overarching analytics philosophy for the entire business. This includes setting rigorous standards for how data is modeled, consumed, and acted upon by teams across GTM, product, and operations.
- • Lead the strategic evolution of our Business Intelligence infrastructure, transitioning from Metabase to Looker. You will work directly with our data warehousing solutions (Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift) and collaborate closely with GTM, Product, and Data Engineering teams to ensure clean, accurate, and consistent data instrumentation throughout our technology stack.
- • Foster a data-driven culture by empowering teams with the insights and tools they need to make informed decisions. You will be responsible for democratizing data access while maintaining data integrity and governance.
- • Proactively identify opportunities for data enhancement and leverage advanced analytical techniques to uncover hidden trends and opportunities for growth. Your insights will be crucial in guiding strategic initiatives and operational improvements.
- • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all analytical models, dashboards, and processes, ensuring knowledge transfer and scalability within the team and across the organization.
- • Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in data analytics, BI, and AI, evaluating their potential application to AirOps's specific needs and challenges. Your forward-thinking approach will ensure our analytics capabilities remain cutting-edge.
- • This role demands a strategic thinker with a deep operational understanding and a passion for building. You will be the architect of our data intelligence, directly impacting how AirOps understands its customers, optimizes its operations, and accelerates its hyper-growth trajectory. Join us and make a significant impact on the future of content engineering in the AI era.
🎯 Requirements
- • 6+ years of hands-on analytics experience within B2B SaaS companies, with demonstrated expertise across GTM, revenue, and product analytics. This includes proven experience in building attribution infrastructure and product instrumentation from the ground up.
- • SQL mastery and direct, hands-on experience with data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift, enabling you to extract insights directly from raw data without reliance on other teams.
- • Proven experience in designing or significantly enhancing Multi-Touch Attribution (MTA) and/or Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) frameworks, with a clear ability to connect analytical methodologies directly to pipeline and revenue outcomes.
- • Hands-on experience with BI development tools like Looker, HockeyStack, or Tableau, coupled with proficiency across the modern GTM technology stack, including tools such as HubSpot, GA4, Segment, Clay, and HockeyStack.
- • A strong ownership mentality: you are adept at defining success metrics, driving cross-functional projects to successful completion, and translating complex data findings into clear, executive-ready narratives.
- • Preferred Qualifications:
- • Proficiency in Python or R for advanced analytical modeling, including cohort analysis, Lifetime Value (LTV) calculations, and incrementality testing.
- • Experience with data transformation tools like dbt (data build tool) or similar.
- • Prior experience building and scaling an analytics function within a high-growth startup environment.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Significant equity stake in a rapidly growing, venture-backed startup.
- • Comprehensive benefits package, thoughtfully tailored to your specific location.
- • A flexible and generous time off policy designed to support work-life balance.
- • Supportive parental leave benefits.
- • An engaging and collaborative work environment with a team that is passionate, fun-loving, and dedicated to moving fast and achieving ambitious goals.
