- • Lead the brokerage and insurance distribution function for Kota, overseeing sales, advice, and client interactions across all insurance lines including Life, Pensions, Private Medical Insurance (PMI), and Personal General Insurance (PGI).
- • Supervise a team of Sales & Benefits Consultants responsible for arranging and placing insurance products across direct and embedded distribution channels.
- • Manage end-to-end competitive RFP processes—from scheme design and pricing review to submission and winning proposals—ensuring regulatory compliance without compromising speed.
- • Ensure quality assurance of all client-facing documentation, including fact-finds, suitability assessments, and regulated proposals before delivery to customers.
- • Design, implement, and maintain sales compliance frameworks that are auditable, scalable, and aligned with Central Bank of Ireland and FCA regulations.
- • Develop and deliver training and competency programmes for the commercial team, including MCC supervision of new entrants and ongoing CPD compliance.
- • Directly engage in high-value or complex insurance deals, providing expert guidance and oversight to ensure customer outcomes are prioritized.
- • Create and maintain scalable client-facing content, educational materials, and sales collateral to support onboarding, sales execution, and market expansion.
- • Collaborate with Compliance to produce regulatory reporting for Central Bank and FCA on product propositions, distribution methods, and sales activities.
- • Work closely with the Chief Operating Officer, Chief Revenue Officer, Benefits team, and General Managers to optimize the commercial sales process for efficiency and scalability.
- • Enhance the RFP and proposal process to balance regulatory robustness with operational speed, reducing time-to-decision without compromising compliance.
- • Strengthen the training pathway for sales staff, including progression toward QFA and MCC qualifications, ensuring all team members meet fitness and probity standards.
- • Build and maintain a centralized repository of sales resources, guides, and educational tools that support consistent messaging and compliance across multiple markets.
- • Drive measurable outcomes through deal velocity, RFP win rate, revenue contribution from brokerage-supported deals, and zero compliance audit findings.
- • Operate in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment where insurance is distributed via software and API integrations, not traditional broker channels.
- • Ensure all sales activities adhere to the MCC 2017 framework, Fitness & Probity regime, Consumer Protection Code, and Insurance Distribution Directive.
- • Maintain full compliance with CPD requirements and hold active, unblemished records for QFA and APA (or equivalent) qualifications across Life, Pensions, PMI, and PGI.
- • Serve as the senior accountable individual for the brokerage function, acting as the primary point of contact for regulatory and commercial stakeholders.
- • Champion a culture of compliance, client-centric advice, and scalable distribution aligned with Kota’s mission to modernize benefits through technology.
