- • Lead the origination and architecture of first-of-kind commercial partnerships across EMEA to unlock new revenue streams and solve Deliveroo’s most complex growth constraints.
- • Develop data-led commercial theses in partnership with Deliveroo leadership to diagnose market constraints and design bespoke deal mechanics that deviate from standard templates.
- • Serve as the primary negotiator in high-stakes discussions with senior counterparts at global platforms, major local market players, and strategic partners across digital platforms, consumer marketplaces, and logistics.
- • Own the full deal trajectory from ideation through execution, working in close alignment with Legal to structure, refine, and close agreements that serve as de-risked roadmaps for long-term impact.
- • Secure internal alignment and resourcing across Product, Finance, and Marketing teams to ensure complex deals gain executive buy-in and operational support for successful implementation.
- • Build and maintain trusted relationships with C-suite executives at global brands to drive results through high-level pattern recognition, strategic influence, and relationship-based negotiation.
- • Architect commercial models from first principles in ambiguous, non-standard opportunities where conventional playbooks are insufficient or inapplicable.
- • Navigate multi-faceted organizational dynamics to align disparate internal stakeholders into a unified strategic thesis that advances Deliveroo’s marketplace objectives.
- • Collaborate with global teams across DoorDash and Wolt as part of the integrated Global Business and Corporate Development (BCD) function, leveraging combined scale and reach to expand partnership opportunities.
- • Drive commercial innovation in fast-paced, evolving environments where agility, judgment, and execution speed are critical to maintaining competitive advantage.
- • Ensure all deals deliver measurable, scalable impact on Deliveroo’s three-sided marketplace—customers, restaurants, and riders—while adhering to regional regulatory and commercial nuances.
- • Represent Deliveroo in cross-border negotiations requiring deep understanding of EMEA market dynamics, including cultural, legal, and operational variations across multiple countries.
- • Maintain a strategic focus on long-term value creation over short-term wins, prioritizing partnerships that enable sustainable growth and market leadership.
- • Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership by translating complex commercial opportunities into clear, actionable frameworks that align technical and executive teams.
- • Contribute to the evolution of Deliveroo’s global partnership strategy by identifying emerging verticals, market shifts, and partnership models that align with the company’s mission to transform how people shop and eat.
🎯 Requirements
- • Significant experience in complex dealmaking within digital platforms, consumer marketplaces, or financial services
- • Mastery of end-to-end negotiation, from ideation to execution, with proven ability to walk away from deals that do not deliver strategic impact
- • Elite commercial judgement to convert ambiguity into clear, executable commercial models that rally executives and technical teams
- • Strategic stakeholder management skills to align disparate internal functions across Product, Finance, and Marketing
- • Executive presence and experience engaging directly with C-suite counterparts at global brands
- • Cross-border expertise across EMEA markets (nice to have)
- • Established network of senior contacts within global technology, retail, or logistics platforms (nice to have)
