- • As Head of CASS at Seccl Technology Limited, you will hold end-to-end responsibility for the firm’s CASS framework, providing strategic leadership and operational oversight to ensure full compliance with FCA CASS regulations. This senior role is critical to safeguarding client assets and maintaining regulatory integrity as Seccl scales rapidly within the Octopus Group.
- • You will own and lead Seccl’s CASS function on a daily basis, interpreting and embedding regulatory requirements across the organisation in a scalable and pragmatic manner. This includes designing and operating an effective CASS governance framework, chairing the CASS Committee, proactively managing CASS risk, leading incident and breach resolution, and serving as the senior point of contact for regulators, auditors, and external stakeholders.
- • You will build, lead, and develop a high-performing CASS team, ensuring that CASS knowledge and skills are embedded throughout the business while advising senior leadership and the Board on regulatory risk, strategic implications, and evolving compliance landscapes.
- • The CASS function sits at the core of Seccl’s regulatory operations, partnering closely with teams across reconciliations, transfers, payments, trading, and wider platform activity. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the CASS framework remains robust, compliant, and scalable as the business grows and evolves.
- • Seccl is an Octopus-owned, B-Corp certified embedded investment platform with strong product-market fit and rapid growth trajectory. As part of the Octopus Group, you will contribute to a mission-driven organisation transforming outdated industries through innovation, integrity, and people-first values.
- • In this role, you will have genuine influence working closely with the executive team, Board, regulators, and auditors. You will shape the evolution of Seccl’s CASS function, drive continuous improvement, and develop expertise in navigating complex regulatory environments within a fast-paced fintech setting.
🎯 Requirements
- • Significant experience leading CASS within an FCA-regulated environment, preferably in fintech, platforms, custody, or wealth management.
- • Hold the relevant qualifications outlined in the FCA’s Training and Competence Sourcebook (TC) Appendix 4.1 for CASS operational oversight certification.
- • Deep technical expertise in CASS regulations combined with the judgement to apply them pragmatically at scale in a growing business.
- • Proven experience operating at a senior level, engaging confidently with regulators, auditors, and Boards on complex regulatory matters.
- • Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing teams while influencing outcomes and raising standards across a fast-growing organisation.
- • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the capacity to provide clear updates and advice to stakeholders at all levels.
