📋 Description
- • Own the commercial finance strategy for Tide’s India card payments business, including UPI, cards, and blended merchant products, with responsibility for unit economics modeling and dynamic reforecasts based on market and regulatory shifts.
- • Partner directly with product and commercial leadership to frame revenue impact, pricing models, and P&L forecasts for new features and go-to-market strategies, ensuring financial alignment with business objectives.
- • Translate RBI circulars and NPCI guidelines into actionable financial impacts, mapping regulatory scenarios and recommending strategic positions to support compliant and profitable growth.
- • Pioneer AI-native finance operations by establishing foundational cohort definitions, data structures, and documentation to transition manual financial modeling into scalable, AI-optimized workflows.
- • Serve as the primary financial storyteller for India Payments, communicating complex financial and regulatory narratives with clarity and conviction to global executive teams and board members.
- • Maintain and evolve financial models using first-principles analysis, with hands-on fluency in Google Sheets or SQL to support real-time decision-making and scenario planning.
- • Leverage AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and speed in financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting workflows.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally across technology, compliance, product, and operations teams to embed financial discipline into product development and commercial execution.
- • Monitor key performance indicators for India’s payments ecosystem, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to inform strategic pivots and resource allocation.
- • Ensure financial planning and analysis activities are aligned with Tide’s global standards while adapting to the unique dynamics of the Indian fintech and regulatory environment.
- • Drive financial literacy and data-driven culture within the India Payments team by translating financial insights into accessible, actionable guidance for non-finance stakeholders.
🎯 Requirements
- • 10–15 years of proven experience in commercial finance within fintech or payments industries
- • Deep expertise in the India payments ecosystem, including UPI mechanics, card networks, and RBI regulatory frameworks
- • Strong first-principles financial modeling skills with fluency in Google Sheets or SQL
- • Hands-on experience using AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT) to optimize finance workflows
- • Professional qualification such as CFA, or degree/MBA from a top-tier institution (e.g., IIT, IIM, ISB, or equivalent)
- • Exceptional communication and storytelling abilities to convey complex financial narratives to global executives and board members
