📋 Description

• Lead the development and execution of Lawhive’s overall communications and PR strategy to elevate the brand as a category leader in legal tech and AI.
• Build and manage proactive media relations programs to secure high-impact coverage in national, business, technology, and legal media outlets.
• Establish Lawhive’s founders and senior leadership as authoritative voices in AI, legal innovation, and the future of professional services through thought leadership campaigns and executive profiling.
• Craft compelling narratives and messaging tailored to customers, lawyers, investors, and industry stakeholders to drive brand trust and awareness.
• Manage communications around major company milestones including Series B funding announcements, product launches, international expansion, and strategic initiatives.
• Develop and deliver executive communications including speeches, opinion pieces, interviews, and keynote talking points for C-suite and leadership team members.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, producers, and industry influencers across technology, business, and legal sectors.
• Partner with Brand, Content, and Growth teams to align communications efforts with broader marketing campaigns and maximize earned media opportunities.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging regulatory or public issues to identify communications opportunities and mitigate reputational risks.
• Design and implement reporting frameworks to measure the impact of communications efforts on brand awareness, perception, and business outcomes.
• Build scalable communications processes, tools, and potentially grow the function as Lawhive scales internationally.
• Serve as the primary liaison between the Communications function and internal teams including Product, Legal, and Engineering/AI to ensure accurate, consistent, and strategic external messaging.
• Translate complex legal and AI-driven technologies into accessible, engaging stories for broad public and professional audiences.
• Drive the creation of compelling content for press releases, media kits, internal briefings, and external publications that reflect Lawhive’s mission to make legal services accessible.
• Represent Lawhive in media interviews, industry panels, and public forums to reinforce the company’s position as an innovator in AI-powered legal services.
• Ensure all communications align with Lawhive’s regulated status and maintain compliance with legal and ethical standards in advertising and public disclosures.
• Support international expansion efforts by adapting messaging and media strategies for the US market and future global markets.
• Maintain a data-driven approach to evaluating campaign performance and refining strategy based on measurable outcomes.
• Act as a strategic advisor to the Founders and leadership team on public narrative, crisis preparedness, and reputation management.
• Contribute to shaping Lawhive’s public identity as a transformative force in the legal industry through innovative use of AI and human expertise.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in communications, PR, corporate affairs, or related roles
• Strong track record of securing high-quality media coverage across business, technology, and national press
• Experience developing communications strategies for high-growth startups, scale-ups, or technology companies
• Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills
• Experience working directly with senior executives and founders on external communications
• Strong understanding of the UK media landscape and ability to build effective journalist relationships
