📋 Description

• As Head of Insurance Legal Counsel at Alan SAS, you will lead the legal strategy for insurance compliance and regulatory affairs across multiple European markets, shaping how the company navigates complex health and disability insurance regulations while driving business growth.
• Your day-to-day responsibilities include defining Alan’s regulatory strategy, owning compliance posture, leading responses to regulatory inspections, advising on product design to meet legal standards, negotiating major client contracts, and building internal legal frameworks to reduce reliance on external counsel.
• You will join Alan’s Corporate Unit, a diverse team of legal and business experts working to shape the future of prevention-focused insurance, collaborating closely with Product, Care, Business, and Public Affairs teams in a culture that values autonomy, innovation, and impact.
• In this role, you will have the opportunity to influence regulatory evolution, expand your scope into new international markets, mentor teammates, and implement AI-driven legal automation—positioning yourself as a strategic leader at the intersection of law, technology, and healthcare innovation.

🎯 Requirements

• At least 10 years of insurance law and/or social protection law experience at a top insurance law firm or international insurance company
• Fluency in French and professional English (written and spoken)
• In-depth commercial experience negotiating or litigating complex health and disability insurance deals
• Broad familiarity with insurance regulatory frameworks including ACPR guidelines, insurance distribution rules, and health/disability insurance regulations
• Strategic autonomy: ability to operate independently, set risk appetite, and make clear judgment calls on legal exposure
• Business mindset: comfortable representing Alan’s positions with clients and regulators while identifying real value creation
