📋 Description
- • As the first dedicated Head of People at Kota Technologies Limited, you will build the internal People function from the ground up while serving as an external voice on the future of benefits, shaping both internal HR strategy and external industry conversations.
- • You will define and execute People strategy aligned with growth, build hiring infrastructure, design performance systems, foster values-driven culture, coach managers, advise executives on org design and compensation, establish People operations, oversee workplace experience, represent Kota at industry events, advise HR leaders on benefits strategy, collaborate with Product on solution development, and grow a community of forward-thinking HR leaders.
- • Kota is reimagining insurance and retirement benefits for the modern workforce through its Kota Platform and Kota Embed solutions, powering benefits for tens of thousands of employees at forward-thinking European companies like Carwow, Tines, Zoe, and Remote, with over €20M raised from top investors and a team growing from 50 to 100+ by year-end.
- • You will have the opportunity to build a high-performing People function in a high-growth tech environment, gain deep influence on product and customer strategy, develop expertise in multi-jurisdictional European HR, and establish yourself as a thought leader in the future of work and benefits.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years in People/HR roles at startups or scaleups (sub-500 employees preferred), with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity
- • Experience building or significantly scaling Talent and People functions in high-growth, tech-first environments
- • HR tech fluency through direct experience at an HR tech company or deep implementation and user experience with HR tools
- • Commercial instinct to engage customers, influence product decisions, and think beyond traditional HR responsibilities
- • European employment expertise across the UK, Ireland, and EU, including navigating multi-region operations
