- • As Head of People at OpenRouter Inc., you will serve as a builder-operator focused on talent, systems, and scaling—not a traditional HR role, but a strategic leader shaping the people function from the ground up.
- • You will build and own the recruiting engine, hire and manage a team of individual contributor recruiters, and scale the company from ~50 to 200+ employees without compromising talent quality.
- • You will oversee core people operations including onboarding, offboarding, benefits, and payroll, while designing compensation, leveling, and career ladder frameworks.
- • You will establish lightweight, high-signal performance management systems and build talent development systems including career paths, leveling, and internal mobility.
- • You will define and reinforce company values through hiring and performance decisions, and partner directly with founders and leadership on organizational design and hiring strategy.
- • You will operate with full ownership and high agency, pushing back when needed, and bring a strong commercial mindset to people decisions in a fast-moving, technical environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience scaling a company from ~50 to 150–300 employees
- • Experience in a technical company (AI, infrastructure, devtools, or engineering-heavy organization)
- • Demonstrated ability to build recruiting functions, compensation and leveling frameworks, and performance management systems from scratch
- • Ability to operate as both Head of People and Head of Recruiting with full ownership
- • Strong talent judgment and proven ability to close senior and technical candidates
- • Comfort operating in ambiguity and moving quickly with high agency and low ego
