• • Rwazi Inc. is seeking a visionary and deeply analytical Head of Research & Development (R&D) to spearhead the exploration and formalization of next-generation decision intelligence systems. This pivotal, full-time, remote role reports directly to the CEO and is instrumental in defining Rwazi's long-term technological advantage. The core mission of this position is to expand the frontier of what decision systems can reason about, ensuring Rwazi remains at the forefront of AI-driven enterprise solutions.
• • The Head of R&D will own long-horizon capability development, venturing beyond immediate roadmap pressures to explore, prototype, and formalize the foundational elements that will power future iterations of Rwazi’s platform. This involves identifying structural opportunities in complex areas such as advanced reasoning systems, sophisticated signal modeling, AI-assisted judgment, and comprehensive decision automation. The ultimate goal is to transform these research insights into robust, reusable system primitives that will shape what Rwazi becomes in the next 3–5 years.
• • The core mandate for this role is multifaceted, encompassing the advancement of future decision system architectures, the formalization of higher-order reasoning capabilities, and the exploration of novel signal classes and evaluation logic. You will be responsible for identifying critical structural AI leverage points and translating cutting-edge research into practical, reusable system components. This is fundamentally a capability-building role, focused on strategic, long-term innovation rather than immediate feature delivery.
• • Key responsibilities include extensive long-horizon capability exploration. This involves identifying and deeply understanding unsolved reasoning challenges within Rwazi’s specific domain, exploring advanced decision frameworks that extend beyond current product limitations, and developing conceptual models for sophisticated, higher-order AI reasoning systems. A significant part of this will also include investigating new signal environments and developing structured judgment methods to improve decision accuracy and scope.
• • Furthermore, the role demands a strong emphasis on prototype development and formalization. You will be tasked with building experimental prototypes to rigorously test new system architectures, formalizing complex reasoning patterns into structured logic frameworks, and creating reusable primitives that can be seamlessly adopted by Product and Engineering teams. Meticulous documentation of system logic in technically rigorous formats is also a critical aspect of this responsibility.
• • Advancing AI and decision systems is central to this position. This means pushing beyond current signal-to-output pipelines to explore multi-layer reasoning and intricate tradeoff modeling. You will design sophisticated evaluation criteria for increasingly complex decisions and anticipate future enterprise use cases, modeling their underlying structural requirements to ensure future-proof solutions.
• • A crucial element of this role is the strategic interface with executive leadership. You will serve as a key advisor to the CEO on long-term technical differentiation strategy, translating complex research insights into actionable strategic investment decisions, and identifying potential defensibility moats that will secure Rwazi's competitive edge.
