- • Lead SentiLink’s expansion into the retail energy ecosystem, including retail electricity providers (REPs), retail natural gas providers, community choice aggregators (CCAs), energy retailers, energy marketplaces, and energy technology platforms.
- • Own the full sales cycle for the retail energy vertical—from prospecting and discovery to business case development, solution positioning, and commercial negotiations.
- • Define and execute SentiLink’s go-to-market strategy for retail energy, including messaging, use cases, and target account prioritization.
- • Build and maintain trusted relationships with key decision-makers across fraud, risk, customer operations, revenue protection, credit, compliance, customer experience, and digital transformation teams at energy companies.
- • Navigate complex organizational structures to align stakeholders across operational, technical, and executive levels to drive adoption of SentiLink’s identity and risk solutions.
- • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Partnerships, and Customer Success teams to ensure successful customer onboarding, adoption, and retention in the retail energy vertical.
- • Stay current on evolving fraud trends, regulatory developments, identity-related risks, and customer acquisition challenges specific to the retail energy sector.
- • Identify new opportunities within the broader energy ecosystem by analyzing market gaps, competitive dynamics, and emerging technology needs.
- • Translate customer pain points around identity verification, account security, payment risk, and compliance into product-led sales narratives that drive pipeline growth.
- • Serve as the primary internal advocate for the retail energy vertical, ensuring product roadmap and customer feedback are integrated into strategic planning.
- • Represent SentiLink at industry events, conferences, and forums focused on energy, utilities, fintech, and identity verification.
- • Maintain deep knowledge of energy market structures, regulatory frameworks (e.g., FERC, state PUCs), and customer onboarding workflows unique to competitive energy providers.
- • Drive pipeline generation through targeted outreach, referrals, and strategic partnerships within the retail energy space.
- • Deliver consistent, data-driven sales performance against quarterly and annual targets for the retail energy vertical.
- • Collaborate with Customer Success to ensure seamless post-sale integration and long-term value realization for retail energy clients.
- • Act as a subject matter expert on identity verification and fraud prevention solutions tailored to the unique needs of energy providers.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of enterprise sales experience, preferably selling SaaS solutions into retail energy, utilities, fintech, telecommunications, or financial services organizations
- • Demonstrated success selling into complex enterprise environments using a multi-stakeholder sales motion
- • Experience working with retail energy providers, utilities, energy marketplaces, energy technology companies, or customer acquisition organizations preferred
- • Strong understanding of customer onboarding, identity verification, fraud prevention, account security, payment risk, revenue protection, credit risk, or compliance workflows preferred
- • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and highly driven in fast-paced startup environments
- • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and strategic selling skills
