📋 Description

• As Head of Security & Compliance at Masabi Ltd, you will own security and compliance end to end, shaping how the company approaches these critical functions as it scales globally as a SaaS business.
• You will lead a small team, assess the current security posture, define practical improvement paths, and ensure compliance with standards such as PCI DSS, ISO27001, SOC2, and Cyber Essentials, while driving initiatives for ISO 27017 and ISO 27018.
• You will work closely with Engineering, Product, and Legal teams to embed security practices, manage end-to-end audits, and maintain a clear, actionable view of risk to support business decisions.
• You will help build a scalable function that evolves with the business, balancing risk, delivery, and commercial needs while fostering clarity, focus, and accountability across teams.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience in security and compliance within payments, fintech, or PCI-regulated environments
• Hands-on experience with PCI DSS, ISO27001, and SOC2, including preparing for and delivering audits
• Demonstrated ability to personally own and deliver compliance programmes, not just oversee them
• Experience operating in a growing or scaling company, bringing structure and prioritising effectively under pressure
• Comfortable driving cross-functional work without direct authority and following through to completion
• Strong judgement in balancing risk, delivery, and commercial needs
• Experience supporting or leading a small team and creating clarity and accountability
• Clear communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
