- • The Head of Special Projects at Function Health Inc. is a high-impact, hands-on role focused on owning and executing undefined, high-priority initiatives from concept to completion. This is not a strategy or coordination role — it is a get-in-and-do-it position for someone who thrives in ambiguity, builds solutions from scratch, and drives real outcomes without waiting for direction.
- • Day to day, you will research new domains from scratch, structure complex problems, produce actionable outputs like recommendations and frameworks, make decisions with incomplete information, and drive alignment across functions including operations, product, clinical, legal, and finance. You will own projects end-to-end, ensuring accountability for outcomes at every stage, and work directly with leadership on initiatives that have no clear owner or template.

- • In this role, you will develop deep ownership and execution skills in undefined problem spaces, sharpen your ability to make high-judgment calls under uncertainty, build cross-functional influence without authority, and deliver multi-million dollar initiatives that directly advance the mission of preventing preventable death. You will learn to turn ambiguity into action, build internal credibility through results, and grow as a leader who ships impact in high-velocity environments.
🎯 Requirements
- • 7+ years of experience owning hard, ambiguous problems and driving them to completion
- • Proven track record of building something from scratch — a team, product, process, or business — with understanding of zero-to-one execution
- • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects where you were the central thread holding initiatives together
- • Ability to turn vague, undefined problems into clear paths forward and execute them to delivery
- • Strong written communication skills — capable of producing clear, structured, actionable work product
- • Mission-driven mindset with genuine belief in preventive healthcare as a critical problem to solve
