Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the story behind the numbers. As a Health Data Analyst at Prime Therapeutics you will transform millions of pharmacy claims into clear, actionable insight that directly improves the health outcomes and financial performance of our clients. Every dashboard you build, every trend you surface, and every recommendation you deliver will shape how 35 million members access and afford life-changing medications.
- • Lead end-to-end analytic projects that start with raw pharmacy, medical, and financial data and end with board-room-ready presentations. You will scope requirements with internal stakeholders, write and optimize complex SAS Enterprise Guide queries that join 20+ tables, validate results against CMS and client expectations, and translate findings into concise narratives supported by interactive Excel models and executive-level visuals.
- • Drive continuous improvement in pharmacy benefit performance. You will monitor PMPM (per-member-per-month) costs, generic utilization, rebate yield, specialty trend, and network leakage; identify the top three drivers behind any variance; and partner with clinical, network, and account teams to design interventions that save clients millions while improving member experience.
- • Create next-generation analytic products. Working alongside data scientists and product managers, you will prototype predictive models that forecast high-cost claimants, simulate the impact of formulary changes, and evaluate the ROI of digital therapeutics. Your prototypes will move from Jupyter notebooks to production Alteryx workflows and eventually become core offerings in Prime’s client portal.
- • Serve as the trusted analytics advisor to external clients and internal executives. You will host monthly performance reviews with Fortune 500 benefits leaders, field ad-hoc questions on rebate reconciliation, and present CMS bid support analyses that determine pricing for the following plan year. Your ability to simplify complex data into a compelling story will influence multi-million-dollar decisions.
- • Ensure compliance and data integrity at scale. You will manage the creation and submission of CMS directories, validate formulary and pricing files against federal requirements, and maintain rigorous documentation so every number can be traced from source to summary. Your attention to detail protects Prime’s reputation and our clients’ regulatory standing.
- • Champion a culture of curiosity and continuous learning. You will mentor junior analysts on efficient SAS coding practices, lead lunch-and-learns on new Alteryx macros, and contribute to Prime’s internal knowledge base. By sharing your expertise, you will multiply the analytic capacity of the entire organization.
- • Thrive in a fully remote, high-collaboration environment. You will join daily stand-ups via Teams, pair-program with teammates across time zones, and present findings in virtual client summits. Prime provides cutting-edge cloud infrastructure and ergonomic home-office allowances so you can do your best work from anywhere in the United States.
- • Make a purpose-driven impact. Every insight you generate helps a patient afford insulin, helps an employer keep coverage costs sustainable, and helps Prime fulfill its mission to deliver the pharmacy care we would want for our own loved ones. If you are energized by using data to do good, this is the role for you.
