📋 Description
- • Provide technical support for the Veterans Benefits Management System (VBMS) at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), resolving escalated tickets from Enterprise Service Desk (ESD) Tier 1.
- • Assist all VBMS users, including entry-level employees and supervisors, with application-related issues and access problems.
- • Analyze, document, resolve, or escalate application issues using established protocols and escalation paths.
- • Participate in daily operational calls with stakeholders to review high-profile issues, system updates, and emerging concerns.
- • Troubleshoot PC setup configurations, browser optimization, network connectivity, and access restrictions using remote diagnostic tools.
- • Utilize the ServiceNow ticketing system to log, track, manage, and close all support requests from inception to resolution.
- • Maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive information processed, prepared, or accessed during support activities.
- • Apply specialized training in system configuration to resolve complex technical issues within the VBMS environment.
- • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of technical incidents and service disruptions.
- • Perform duties independently while adhering to all VA and PingWind policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- • Adapt quickly to new technologies, tools, and system updates within the federal IT environment.
- • Manage multiple concurrent tasks, including handling interruptions, prioritizing urgent issues, and completing assignments under time-sensitive deadlines.
- • Conduct research and analysis on special projects or reports as required to support system improvements or user needs.
- • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with VA personnel, team members, and support staff.
- • Demonstrate integrity, ingenuity, and inventiveness in resolving technical challenges with limited supervision.
- • Ensure all actions align with federal government standards for data security, privacy, and operational continuity.
- • Support the mission of delivering reliable, secure, and efficient technology services to veterans and VA employees.

- • Working knowledge of web-based applications and data access mechanisms
- • Experience with enterprise-level applications
- • Experience using the ServiceNow ticket system
- • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- • Specialized training in system configuration
- • ITIL experience
