📋 Description
- • Join VitalCaring as a Hospice Billing Specialist (Remote) and play a vital role in supporting the financial integrity of hospice operations by ensuring accurate and timely billing in compliance with Medicare Hospice regulations and all applicable federal, state, and commercial payor requirements.
- • Day to day, you will prepare, review, and submit hospice claims accurately and timely for Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, and other third-party payors; verify Notice of Election (NOE) submissions; review documentation for proper revenue, occurrence, discharge status, and length of stay codes; identify and resolve billing edits, claim rejections, denials, and payment discrepancies; collaborate with clinical and admissions teams to obtain missing documentation; document billing coordination notes in the EMR; upload remittance advices and correspondence; monitor and reconcile payments; and maintain compliance with productivity and quality benchmarks while safeguarding patient and financial data under HIPAA.
