- • As HR Director (Head of People) at Onhires Inc., you will build the entire HR function from the ground up in a high-growth global fintech company processing millions of transactions across cards, 60+ APMs, and crypto in Europe, LATAM, and Africa. This is a rare opportunity to create a scalable, data-driven People function that becomes a competitive advantage during the company’s critical scale-up phase, with direct influence on obtaining EMI licenses in the UK and Malta.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include conducting a full audit of current HR state within the first 60 days, developing a 12–18 month HR strategy, launching foundational processes like onboarding, probation, and performance checkpoints, building a standardized recruitment system with job descriptions and interview guides, and implementing HR metrics dashboards for time-to-hire, quality of hire, and retention. You will then establish the complete HR lifecycle, create data-driven systems for OKR, grading, and compensation tied to market rates, shape an A-Players culture emphasizing ownership, speed, feedback, and zero politics, launch HR operations in regional hubs across Africa, LATAM, Europe, and Asia, hire and lead an HR team of generalists and business partners, implement HRIS, ATS, and performance management tools, and design a leadership enablement program to train managers in hiring and team development.
- • You will join a high-growth global payment platform leveraging AI-routing in specialized verticals like iGaming, Forex, and Crypto, operating with MSB status in Canada and pursuing EMI licensing in the UK and Malta. The company is in a pivotal scale-up phase, offering a blank-slate environment to build HR systems without legacy bureaucracy, where your work will directly impact organizational scalability and culture.
- • In this role, you will develop expertise in building HR functions from scratch in high-velocity fintech environments, gain experience scaling People operations across multiple continents, master data-driven HR leadership using metrics like eNPS and retention, and position yourself for advancement to Head of People or CHRO as the company grows. You will also refine your ability to influence C-suite leaders, implement HR technology stacks, and create culture-defining programs in a fast-moving, performance-focused environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5-7+ years of HR experience with a proven track record of building HR functions from scratch in startups or scale-ups (60 → 200+ people)
- • Experience in fintech, high-growth, or multi-regional organizations is essential
- • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute operationally, including launching onboarding processes in under a week and managing HR exclusively through data-driven metrics (time-to-hire, quality of hire, retention, eNPS)
