📋 Description

• As a Hyperion Business Systems Analyst at Deckers Outdoor Corporation, you will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the Oracle EPM stack that powers global financial planning, analysis, and reporting for a multi-brand, multi-channel organization. Your technical expertise ensures the reliability, performance, and scalability of Essbase, Dodeca, and related systems that support strategic decision-making across finance and BI teams worldwide.
• Day to day, you will design, develop, and deploy Essbase applications using ASO, BSO, and hybrid architectures; administer and tune EPM environments on Windows Server and Red Hat Linux; develop and maintain business rules, load rules, and MDX formulas using EAS, Maxl, and Calc Manager; manage security matrices via Active and Native directories; troubleshoot application issues; and collaborate with global finance and BI analytics teams to align solutions with evolving business needs.
• You will partner closely with infrastructure, data management, and financial reporting teams to ensure seamless integration of Hyperion planning applications with Oracle DBMS, PL/SQL, SQL, and stored procedures; support full lifecycle development using agile methodologies; and contribute to data warehousing efforts involving star schemas, snowflakes, and dimensional modeling.

• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in Oracle EPM technologies while gaining exposure to global financial operations across diverse brands and geographies. You will have the opportunity to lead EPM center of excellence initiatives, influence best practices in application design and administration, and grow into a trusted advisor for finance transformation—positioning yourself for advancement into senior technical, architectural, or management roles within enterprise performance management.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or Master’s degree with 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of Bachelor’s + 10 years experience)
• 10 years of progressive experience developing, managing, and delivering Oracle Essbase EPM solutions supporting Finance & FP&A teams in multi-brand, multi-channel, multi-geography organizations
• 8 years of experience with Essbase ASO, BSO, and hybrid architectures; EAS, Maxl, Calc Manager; business rules, load rules, and MDX syntax; Hyperion planning application development and deployment; security matrix setup using Active and Native directories; and application tuning and troubleshooting
• 8 years of experience with Windows Server and Windows OS scripting; 8 years with Red Hat Linux OS
• 5 years of experience with Oracle DBMS, PL/SQL, SQL, stored procedures; Windows batch and PowerShell scripting; full lifecycle development and agile methodologies
• 3 years of experience with Groovy; familiarity with data warehousing (star/snowflake schemas, dimensional modeling); Dodeca and Redshift
