IAM Engineer

📋 Description

• • Participate in IAM projects and initiatives, collaborating with engineers, analysts, and managers to deliver high-quality identity and access management solutions.
• • Design, implement, and maintain IAM solutions using tools such as Active Directory, Azure AD, SSO, MFA, SAML, OAuth, and SCIM.
• • Perform testing, validation, and quality assurance of IAM solutions to ensure functionality, performance, and security compliance.
• • Monitor and audit IAM systems, activities, and processes; generate reports and dashboards to track performance and compliance metrics.
• • Respond to alarms and incidents, performing initial troubleshooting, analysis, and remediation of access and permissions issues.
• • Manage the identity lifecycle and access policies for users, groups, roles, and applications across the organization.
• • Conduct regular access reviews and audits to ensure adherence to IAM policies and standards, providing support for audit, privacy, legal, and compliance requirements.
• • Provide technical support and guidance to clients and internal teams on IAM-related matters including user provisioning, access management, and identity governance.
• • Document and update IAM policies, procedures, and configurations to align with industry best practices and organizational standards.
• • Analyze and resolve IAM issues and incidents, providing root cause analysis and recommendations for process improvements.
• • Evaluate and assign tickets to junior team members, recommending solutions to enhance team efficiency and system reliability.
• • Collaborate with IAM team members, application owners, and business stakeholders to understand, document, and fulfill IAM requirements.
• • Identify and remediate IAM vulnerabilities, risks, or gaps, implementing corrective and preventive actions to strengthen security posture.
• • Serve as escalation point for application teams on security/access issues and as IAM point of contact for audits and cross-departmental security activities.
• • Maintain current knowledge of IAM technologies, roadmaps, and industry trends; research and recommend improvements to IAM architecture and processes.
• • Train and mentor other IAM team members, fostering knowledge sharing and team development.
• • Demonstrate strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to address complex access and identity challenges.
• • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and adhere to all procedures protecting information systems from modification, disclosure, or destruction.
• • Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment managing multiple simultaneous tasks with attention to detail and quality.
• • Operate in a remote capacity with rotating weekly on-call responsibilities and occasional evening or weekend hours for system conversions or training.
• • Access to protected health information (PHI) is required, limited to information reasonably necessary for job responsibilities.
• • Must be able to lift objects up to 35 lbs and be exposed to weather and road conditions during required travel.
• • Work in a normal office environment with high-level visibility through verbal and written communications with senior management.
