- • iCapital Network is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Vice President to spearhead the iDirect International APAC region, focusing on the iDirect funds series. This pivotal role, based in Hong Kong and reporting to the Head of International, iDirect, is designed for a strategic leader who can drive business development planning, execute sales strategies, and champion advisor education across the dynamic Asia Pacific markets.
- • You will be instrumental in cultivating and expanding relationships with key stakeholders, including private banks, single and multi-family offices, as well as brokerage and wealth management platforms. Your primary objective will be to drive the sales and adoption of iCapital's innovative iDirect product suite, which encompasses private equity, private credit, and hedge funds, with a keen eye on future product developments.
- • A core responsibility involves leveraging a sophisticated, consultative sales process to not only acquire new client relationships but also to deepen engagement with existing clients, ultimately driving growth in assets under management. This requires a profound understanding of the alternative investment landscape and iCapital's unique value proposition.
- • Developing a high level of sales proficiency with the iDirect offerings is paramount. This includes a deep understanding of the underlying asset classes, the competitive landscape, and the ability to articulate the specific advantages and nuances of each iDirect product for comparison purposes. You will become a trusted advisor, capable of guiding clients through complex investment decisions.
- • The role demands significant regional travel to key markets within the APAC region. This travel is essential for meeting with gatekeepers, financial advisors, industry bodies, and end clients. These interactions are critical for supporting the broader sales efforts, conducting product presentations, and delivering educational sessions that enhance understanding and confidence in iCapital's solutions.
- • You will play a key role in the planning and execution of impactful roadshows and industry conferences. This involves coordinating logistics, developing compelling content, and representing iCapital at high-profile events to enhance brand visibility and generate new business opportunities.
- • Collaboration is key. You will work closely with the in-region Client Solutions team personnel, providing strategic input and hands-on support for client pitches, product positioning, and the development and execution of targeted sales campaigns. This cross-functional teamwork ensures a cohesive and effective client engagement strategy.
- • To support effective sales management and strategic decision-making, you will be expected to leverage technology input and reporting tools. This includes utilizing CRM systems and other analytical platforms to track sales progress, identify trends, and refine sales strategies for optimal performance.
- • As a Vice President, you will embody iCapital's entrepreneurial spirit, demonstrating a proactive, self-starter mentality. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, adhering to a rigorous sales process while also being adaptable and innovative.
- • Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills are crucial, particularly in navigating cross-border business environments and working effectively within a lean, high-performing team. Your ability to build rapport, communicate complex ideas clearly, and manage multiple priorities will be vital to your success.
- • Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint is essential for creating persuasive presentations and delivering impactful sales pitches. Coupled with excellent verbal and written communication skills, you will be able to articulate iCapital's vision and product benefits with clarity and conviction.
- • This role requires a commitment to continuous learning and professional development, staying abreast of market trends, regulatory changes, and evolving client needs within the alternative investment space.
- • Ultimately, you will be a key driver of iCapital's growth and success in the APAC region, contributing significantly to our mission of democratizing access to alternative investments for a broader range of investors.
🎯 Requirements
- • 10+ years of experience working within the alternative investment industry in a client-facing capacity (e.g., Investor relations at GPs or distribution specialist at placement agents, fund of funds and asset management firms with alternative investment product experience).
- • Proven track record of success in business development, sales, and relationship management within the financial services sector, specifically with alternative investments.
- • Strong understanding of private equity, private credit, hedge funds, and other alternative asset classes, including their structures, risks, and investment merits.
- • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively to sophisticated audiences.
- • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint for creating compelling presentations.
- • Ability to travel regionally as required to meet with clients and partners.
- • Local regulatory licensing is required.
- • Fluency in relevant Asian languages is a significant plus.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive salary and performance-based bonus structure.
- • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance plans.
- • Generous paid time off and holiday schedule.
- • Opportunities for professional development and continuous learning.
- • A dynamic and entrepreneurial work environment with a focus on innovation.
- • Hybrid work model with flexibility to work remotely on Fridays.
