  • • iCapital Network LLC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Vice President to spearhead the iDirect funds series within the dynamic Middle East market. This pivotal role, reporting to the Head of International, iDirect (based in Hong Kong), is instrumental in driving regional business development, strategic planning, and the sales of iDirect's innovative investment products. You will be the primary point of contact for engaging with key stakeholders, including private banks, single and multi-family offices, brokerage houses, and wealth management platforms, fostering strong relationships and educating them on our sophisticated offerings.
  • • As a key player in our international expansion, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive regional business development plan tailored to the unique opportunities within the Middle East. This includes identifying new market segments, understanding competitive landscapes, and crafting strategies to penetrate and grow market share for our alternative investment solutions.
  • • A core component of this role involves a consultative sales process. You will leverage your expertise to acquire new client relationships, deepen engagement with existing clients, and ultimately drive assets under management for the iDirect funds series. This requires a proactive and client-centric approach, understanding their investment objectives and aligning our product suite to meet their needs.
  • • You will cultivate a deep and nuanced understanding of iDirect's offerings, encompassing private equity, private credit, and hedge funds, as well as future product developments. This expertise will extend to a thorough grasp of the underlying asset classes, enabling you to articulate the value proposition of our products and effectively compare them against market alternatives. Your ability to translate complex investment strategies into clear, compelling narratives will be crucial.
  • • Significant travel within the Middle East markets is an essential part of this role. You will be expected to meet with gatekeepers, financial advisors, industry bodies, and end clients to build brand awareness, conduct product presentations, and support broader sales and educational initiatives. This on-the-ground presence is vital for building trust and establishing iCapital as a leading provider of alternative investments in the region.
  • • You will play an active role in the planning and execution of strategic events, including roadshows and industry conferences. This involves coordinating logistics, developing presentation materials, and representing iCapital at high-profile gatherings to enhance our visibility and generate leads.
  • • Collaboration is key to success. You will work closely with the in-region Client Solutions team, providing them with market insights, supporting client pitches, refining product positioning, and contributing to the development and execution of targeted sales campaigns. This synergy ensures a cohesive and effective client engagement strategy.
  • • To optimize sales performance and client management, you will utilize technology input and reporting tools. This includes leveraging CRM systems and other sales management platforms to track progress, analyze performance data, and identify areas for improvement, ensuring a data-driven approach to business development.
  • • This role demands a self-starter with a proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. You must be adept at following a rigorous sales process while also demonstrating the flexibility to adapt to evolving market conditions and client needs.
  • • Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills are paramount, particularly in a cross-border and small team-working context. Your ability to build rapport, communicate effectively across diverse cultures, and manage multiple priorities will be critical to your success.
  • • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint is essential for creating impactful presentations, and you must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex financial concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • • You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all local regulatory licensing requirements within the Middle East markets, demonstrating a commitment to ethical conduct and regulatory adherence.
  • • While not mandatory, relevant language skills in addition to English will be considered a significant advantage, enabling deeper engagement with local clients and partners.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 10+ years of experience working within the alternative investment industry in a client-facing capacity (e.g., Investor relations at GPs or distribution specialist at placement agents, fund of funds and asset management firms with alternative investment product experience).
  • • Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, demonstrating initiative and a rigorous approach to sales processes.
  • • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in cross-border and small team settings.
  • • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint for impactful presentations.
  • • Local regulatory licensing is required for operating within the Middle East financial markets.
  • • Relevant language skills in addition to English are a plus.
