- • Design and implement security architecture to protect IT infrastructure, including networks, systems, and applications, aligned with business objectives and healthcare industry standards.
- • Evaluate and assess security technologies, tools, and solutions to determine effectiveness in addressing organizational security needs, particularly in cloud environments.
- • Develop and execute cloud security strategies to safeguard data, applications, and infrastructure hosted in cloud platforms.
- • Conduct third-party information security risk assessments and establish processes for ongoing monitoring of vendor compliance.
- • Maintain and monitor the cybersecurity risk register, including risk ratings, mitigation strategies, and action plans for identified threats.
- • Coordinate data collection and preparation for internal and external audits, risk assessments, and information security program certifications.
- • Assist in testing and validating incident response plans to ensure effective mitigation of security breaches and compliance violations.
- • Assist in testing business continuity and disaster recovery plans to sustain operations and restore functionality after cyber incidents.
- • Respond to and resolve information security events and escalations in a timely and coordinated manner.
- • Monitor remediation efforts for vulnerability assessment findings, including results from penetration tests and automated scans.
- • Design and oversee training campaigns to improve employee phishing detection and overall security awareness across the organization.
- • Communicate security risks, control deficiencies, and remediation recommendations clearly to senior management and cross-functional stakeholders.
- • Ensure compliance with federal security and privacy regulations including HIPAA, HITECH, and PCI DSS in all security initiatives.
- • Perform regular control assessments to identify gaps and ensure security controls are operating effectively and continuously.
- • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information for audits and risk assessments, ensuring alignment across departments.
- • Apply a detail-oriented approach to analyze security designs and recommend optimal configurations for enterprise systems.
- • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving threats, regulatory requirements, and security best practices specific to the healthcare information technology sector.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3+ years of relevant work experience in IT security within a complex enterprise environment
- • Work experience in the healthcare information security field
- • Previous Health Information Technology (HIT) experience implementing controls for federal security and privacy regulations
- • Demonstrated knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, and PCI DSS standards
- • Experience with incident response, vulnerability management, and security audits
- • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to collaborate across departments
