- • The Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) is a mission-critical role responsible for safeguarding classified information systems that support national defense operations, ensuring the integrity and security of Shield AI’s advanced defense technologies.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing and maintaining cybersecurity controls, supporting system accreditation processes, monitoring compliance with DoD and Intelligence Community (IC) security standards, and managing security posture across multiple classification levels, including Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) environments.
- • The ISSO will work within Shield AI’s Federal Systems Team, a high-performance unit dedicated to delivering secure, intelligent systems for military and government clients, operating within a classified IT environment that demands precision and vigilance.
- • In this role, the ISSO will deepen expertise in federal cybersecurity frameworks (such as NIST RMF, CNSSI 1253, and ICD 503), gain hands-on experience with classified systems accreditation, and contribute directly to the security of autonomous systems protecting service members and civilians worldwide.
🎯 Requirements
- • Active DoD Secret or Top Secret security clearance
- • Experience implementing and maintaining cybersecurity controls in classified or federal IT environments
- • Knowledge of DoD and Intelligence Community (IC) security policies, including NIST RMF, CNSSI 1253, and ICD 503
- • Experience supporting system accreditation and authorization (A&A) processes
- • Familiarity with Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) and multi-level security (MLS) environments
- • Strong attention to detail and ability to operate effectively in high-performance, mission-driven teams
