📋 Description
- • As a Senior Software Engineer specializing in agentic AI at Hopper Inc., you will play a pivotal role in advancing the company’s Hopper Technology Solutions (HTS) platform, which powers travel commerce for global brands like Capital One, Air Canada, and Nubank. Your work will directly enable faster, more scalable launches of white-label travel portals by leveraging AI agents to reduce reliance on custom engineering.
- • You will identify and implement codebase improvements that enhance the speed, safety, and autonomy of AI agents, ensuring they can deliver complex features from UX to database with minimal human oversight. This includes designing technical guardrails, feedback loops, and scalable patterns that maximize agent reliability and productivity.
- • Collaborating within a high-trust, low-process engineering team, you will drive asynchronous decision-making by using AI to generate rigorous documentation and specifications, fostering alignment across product, engineering, and business stakeholders.
- • You will orchestrate AI agents to build new features end-to-end, embracing a ‘ship fast, learn fast, repeat’ mindset while maintaining rigorous standards for quality, architecture, and customer impact.
- • Working closely with product managers and business partners, you will help define and refine the HTS roadmap, ensuring your technical vision shapes the evolution of Hopper’s B2B travel commerce engine.
- • You will contribute to a diverse, entrepreneurial culture where feedback is actively exchanged, small teams yield massive impact, and taking calculated risks is encouraged as part of daily innovation.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in distributed systems using Scala, gain hands-on experience orchestrating multi-agent AI workflows, and grow as a product-minded engineer who balances technical excellence with user-centric outcomes.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven ability to direct AI agents and automated workflows to architect, implement, and maintain complex software systems with minimal human intervention.
- • Expertise in designing technical guardrails and automated feedback loops that maximize the productivity and reliability of AI agents operating within a codebase.
- • Experience with, or a strong willingness to master, distributed system development in Scala.
- • Strong product thinking where quality and architectural decisions are inherently anchored in the customer experience.
- • Natural drive to fearlessly dive into unfamiliar codebases while maintaining focus on delivering results quickly.
