• • As a Senior Software Engineer on the Coinbase Developer Platform (CDP) Foundations team, you will be instrumental in building the core data model and foundational primitives that power our entire developer ecosystem. This is a critical role where you will architect, develop, and maintain the scalable, secure, and high-performing backend services that define how organizations interact with our platform.
• • Your primary responsibility will be to craft the essential building blocks for CDP, including defining how organizations structure themselves, how users and customers are represented and verified, how funds are securely contained and owned, and how access is meticulously controlled. This involves deep engagement with distributed systems and microservices architecture.
• • You will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of complex projects, from initial technical design and documentation through implementation, rigorous testing, seamless deployment, and ongoing monitoring. This includes authoring comprehensive technical design documents (TDDs), providing clear technical leadership, and ensuring alignment across intricate project scopes.
• • A significant part of your role will involve defining both internal and customer-facing APIs. These APIs will serve as the bedrock for the CDP, enabling developers to build innovative applications on top of Coinbase's infrastructure. You will ensure these APIs are well-documented, robust, and adhere to best practices in design and security.
• • You will play a key role in enhancing and maintaining operational excellence standards across the team. This proactive approach involves identifying and addressing technical debt, driving improvements in system reliability, and bolstering observability to ensure our services are performant and resilient.
