- • Inpatient Coding Specialist role is critical to helping clients exceed financial health goals by providing accurate CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM coding across multiple specialties and facilities, directly impacting reimbursement and revenue integrity.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing medical records for accurate code assignment, recognizing critical care cases, coding ER surgical procedures, applying diagnosis and procedure codes with specificity, interpreting coding guidelines, maintaining 95%+ productivity and quality standards, communicating professionally with clients, and participating in company training while upholding ethical coding standards and data privacy.

🎯 Requirements
- • Current certification through AAPC (CPC or COC) or AHIMA (CCS or CCS-P), with CCS preferred
- • Minimum of 2 years of inpatient coding experience
- • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including basic formulas and pivot tables) and Outlook for email and scheduling
- • Access to current CPT and ICD-10-CM coding references
- • Ability to maintain 95%+ productivity and quality scores consistently
- • Strong verbal and written communication skills for client interaction
