- • Are you a driven, results-oriented individual with a passion for helping people find the best solutions? Do you thrive in a dynamic, performance-focused environment where your success is directly tied to your efforts? The Zebra, a leader in revolutionizing how consumers research and shop for insurance, is seeking a motivated Insurance Sales Advisor to join our growing, fully remote team in Texas. This is an exceptional opportunity to build a meaningful career in insurance sales, leveraging digital channels to guide customers and drive significant purchase decisions. We are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where "All Stripes Welcome," valuing unique backgrounds and perspectives. If you're looking for a role that rewards achievement, offers substantial earning potential, and provides a clear path for growth, this is the perfect fit.
- • As an Insurance Sales Advisor at The Zebra, you will be at the forefront of our customer engagement strategy. You will interact with inbound customers primarily through digital channels such as chat, SMS, and email, providing them with a fast, professional, and empathetic experience. Your primary responsibility will be to expertly guide customers through the insurance quoting and application process, thoroughly explaining coverage options and helping them understand their choices. This role demands a proactive approach, where you will not only assist customers but also actively identify and capitalize on opportunities to convert leads, upsell relevant products, and cross-sell additional coverage to meet their evolving needs. Maintaining strong customer relationships and ensuring a smooth purchase journey are paramount.
- • This is not a traditional, passive call center position. We are looking for individuals who take ownership of their performance, actively seek out sales opportunities, and are energized by measurable results. Success in this role is defined by your ability to convert interest into sales, contribute to revenue growth, and ensure positive customer outcomes. While an hourly base provides stability, your true earning potential is uncapped and directly linked to your performance metrics, including conversion rates and revenue impact. We invest deeply in our team, offering comprehensive training, ongoing development, and clear advancement opportunities for those who consistently deliver exceptional results. You will be empowered to manage your workflow, proactively re-engage with customers to finalize purchases, and maintain meticulous records using our CRM and internal tools. Collaboration is also key; you'll work closely with licensed agents and leadership to address complex cases and ensure seamless escalations when necessary.
- • This role offers significant flexibility within a structured framework. You will work a full-time, 40-hour week with set schedules determined quarterly through a shift-bid process. Schedules consist of 8-hour or 10-hour shifts within defined windows, including evenings and weekends, to meet business needs. While flexibility is a requirement, discipline and accountability are equally crucial for success in a remote setting. We expect our advisors to be self-starters who are comfortable working independently while remaining connected to their team and goals. The ideal candidate possesses a coachable mindset, a genuine desire to learn and grow, and a high degree of integrity, accountability, and professionalism. Strong technical aptitude and comfort navigating web-based tools and CRM systems are essential for efficiently managing customer interactions and data. If you are motivated by achievement, thrive on feedback, and are seeking a long-term career with substantial earning potential and upward mobility, rather than a strictly task-based job, we encourage you to apply.
- • Key Responsibilities:
- • Engage inbound customers promptly and professionally via digital channels (chat, SMS, email).
- • Provide empathetic and knowledgeable guidance through the insurance quoting and application process.
- • Clearly explain various coverage options and help customers make informed decisions.
- • Proactively identify and pursue opportunities for conversion, upselling, and cross-selling.
- • Drive customer purchases to completion by effectively managing the sales funnel.
- • Re-engage with interested customers to ensure they finalize their policies.
- • Maintain accurate and detailed customer records within the CRM system.
- • Consistently meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) related to conversion rates, revenue generation, and customer satisfaction.
- • Collaborate effectively with licensed agents and leadership on complex customer scenarios.
- • Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and skill enhancement.
- • Embrace a performance-driven culture focused on measurable results and continuous improvement.
- • Uphold The Zebra's values of transparency, integrity, and customer advocacy.
- • This role is ideal for individuals who are motivated by achievement, feedback, and measurable goals, and who take ownership of their outcomes. It is not suited for those seeking a strictly task-based or clock-in, clock-out work environment with minimal performance accountability. We are building a team of driven professionals who are excited by the prospect of accelerating their careers in insurance sales and achieving significant financial rewards through their dedication and performance.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a performance-driven environment (e.g., sales, digital customer service, customer success).
- • Strong written communication skills and demonstrated confidence engaging with customers digitally.
- • Proven ability to influence customer decisions, drive towards a sale, and close opportunities.
- • Comfort and proficiency working towards measurable goals and performance metrics.
- • Coachable mindset with a demonstrated desire for continuous learning, growth, and career advancement.
- • High degree of integrity, accountability, and professionalism in all interactions.
- • Strong technical aptitude and comfort using web-based tools and CRM systems.
- • Must reside in Texas and be able to work remotely from your primary residence.
- • Nice-to-Have Requirements:
- • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
- • Active Texas General Lines Property & Casualty insurance license.
- • Prior experience in digital sales, e-commerce, or online customer engagement.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Unlimited Planned Paid Time Off (PTO).
- • Comprehensive Health, Dental, and Vision insurance coverage.
- • Disability coverage included.
- • Generous $100 monthly wellness stipend.
- • Health Savings Account (HSA) with employer contribution.
- • 401(k) retirement plan with company match.
- • Paid parental leave.
- • $40 monthly internet stipend to support remote work.
- • Robust learning and development programs to foster career growth.
- • A collaborative and inclusive work environment where company values are genuinely lived.
