Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Build and own end-to-end data pipelines that integrate Vitalize with enterprise healthcare systems including EHR platforms (Epic, Cerner), workforce management systems (UKG, Workday, Kronos), payroll engines, and scheduling tools.
- • Configure and extend existing integration middleware connectors rather than building HL7 or custom protocols from scratch to ensure scalability and maintainability.
- • Design and implement reliable, incremental sync pipelines that handle chaotic upstream data, partial deliveries, retries, and system failures without compromising data accuracy or platform stability.
- • Reconcile conflicting, incomplete, or inconsistent shift, staff, and ADT data from multiple source systems at the transformation layer to ensure clean, actionable workforce intelligence reaches clinical leaders.
- • Engineer systems with built-in observability — using schema contracts, typed error channels, and structured logging — to make silent failures impossible and enable rapid diagnosis of production issues.
- • Instrument all integration workflows to distinguish between job execution and job success, ensuring operational clarity and accountability in production environments.
- • Detect and recover from data drift between source systems and Vitalize in real time, implementing automated recovery mechanisms to prevent inconsistencies from surfacing to end users.
- • Own the reliability of integrations during enterprise-wide rollouts, anticipating edge cases that emerge only under live, high-volume conditions and designing guardrails to mitigate risk.
- • Collaborate closely with customers, deployment teams, and fellow engineers to understand integration requirements, communicate technical limitations, and align on success metrics.
- • Maintain production integrations under high load, scaling worker clusters and optimizing throughput while ensuring system stability across the largest health systems in the U.S.
- • Ensure all integrations are production-ready from day one of customer deployment, eliminating manual workarounds and enabling seamless adoption of Vitalize’s workforce intelligence platform.
- • Communicate technical constraints and expectations clearly to both engineering and non-technical stakeholders, translating operational realities into actionable product insights.
- • Proactively identify and resolve integration bottlenecks that impact staffing decisions, scheduling recommendations, and real-time visibility into workforce availability.
- • Treat integrations as a core value driver — not a support function — recognizing that the platform’s utility is entirely dependent on the accuracy and reliability of the data pipelines you build.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience owning production integrations in enterprise environments, including handling upstream system changes, silent data errors, and edge cases uncovered during live deployments.
- • Demonstrated ability to build and operate queue-based worker systems at scale, with deep understanding of business impact from integration failures.
- • Expertise in designing incremental sync pipelines that remain correct under failure, retry, and partial delivery scenarios.
- • Strong track record of implementing observable systems using schema contracts, typed errors, and structured logging to eliminate silent failures.
- • Experience building durable, cron-driven workflows that survive restarts, retries, and partial failures, with clear distinction between job execution and success.
- • Ability to trace anomalies from symptom to source quickly in production and minimize blast radius during incidents.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
- • 401k with company match
- • Unlimited PTO
- • Bi-annual company retreats
- • Free lunch and dinner in-office
- • Relocation bonus and desk setup, gym, and commute reimbursement
