• • Our client's API-driven solution empowers digital banks and neobanks to embed powerful merchant connectivity capabilities directly into their mobile apps. This allows end-users to effortlessly switch payment methods or cancel subscriptions without ever leaving their trusted banking environment. This project is at the forefront of enhancing user experience and financial control.
• • This role is specifically a highly technical integration project, with a core focus on sophisticated browser automation and secure, credential-based workflows. It's a departure from traditional backend API integrations, demanding a unique skill set to navigate complex user interfaces.
• • The primary objective of this project is to build automated integrations with various merchant platforms. This will be achieved through the development of advanced headless browser scripting. Each integration will involve a comprehensive process:
• • Authenticating into a merchant platform using legitimate, real user credentials.
• • Programmatically navigating the intricate user interface of the merchant's website or application.
• • Executing critical payment switch or subscription cancellation workflows with precision.
• • Implementing robust security measures for handling sensitive credential input and temporary card details.
• • Ensuring the restoration of the user’s original state post-transaction, where applicable.
• • The immediate focus for the first quarter (Q1) is to successfully complete integrations with a select number of key merchants across Latin America:
• • Colombia: Targeting 1 to 3 merchants.
• • Brazil: Targeting 1 merchant.
• • Argentina: Targeting 1 merchant.
• • The list of potential merchants includes prominent platforms such as MercadoPago, Netflix, Spotify, Amazon, Disney+, OpenAI, and dLocal, presenting a diverse and challenging integration landscape.
• • As a Merchant Integration Engineer, your core responsibility will be to design, develop, and deploy headless browser automations that meticulously replicate real user behavior across these diverse merchant platforms. This is a hands-on role requiring deep technical expertise in UI automation.
• • You will operate on a per-merchant integration basis, working closely with dedicated product and engineering teams. Your contributions will be vital in ensuring the utmost reliability, security, and compliance of our client's innovative solution.
• • Key responsibilities include building sophisticated headless browser scripts for authentication and navigation, automating complex payment switch and subscription cancellation flows, and implementing secure credential handling mechanisms, such as temporary secure forms.
• • A critical aspect of this role is ensuring the highest standards of data security. You will be responsible for ensuring that sensitive data is never stored and is promptly deleted after its intended use. This includes handling various edge cases such as two-factor authentication (2FA), unexpected UI changes, session expirations, and sophisticated anti-bot mechanisms.
• • You will be tasked with designing resilient automation logic that closely mimics genuine human interaction patterns, making the automation indistinguishable from a real user. This requires a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of user interface dynamics.
• • Collaboration is key. You will work closely with API and backend teams to seamlessly connect your merchant-specific scripts to the broader platform, ensuring a cohesive and functional end-to-end solution.
• • Comprehensive documentation of all implemented flows, identified edge cases, and resolution strategies will be essential for future maintainability and knowledge transfer.
• • A strong security and compliance mindset is paramount. This project involves temporary access to real user credentials and card details, strictly for the purpose of testing integration flows. Candidates must demonstrate extensive experience working with sensitive data securely, possess a strong understanding of secure data handling practices, and be comfortable operating within high-trust, compliance-driven environments. Clear documentation of data deletion and safe handling practices is a non-negotiable requirement.
