• • Architect the backbone of a billion-dollar beauty empire. As our Interim Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer you will own the end-to-end design, deployment, and scaling of enterprise-grade systems that power e.l.f. Beauty’s explosive growth. Over the next six months you will modernize our hybrid cloud footprint, harden security posture, and automate every repeatable task so that our brands—e.l.f. Cosmetics, Well People, Keys Soulcare, Naturium, and rhode—can launch faster, sell more, and delight millions of customers worldwide.
• • Lead high-impact infrastructure projects from whiteboard to production. You will translate business goals into resilient architectures spanning on-prem VMware clusters, AWS and Azure landing zones, and next-gen container platforms. Whether we’re rolling out a global ERP upgrade, migrating legacy workloads to the cloud, or standing up a disaster-recovery site, you will define the roadmap, select the right tech stack, and ensure zero-downtime cutovers.
• • Harden security and compliance without slowing innovation. Partner with our Security & Risk teams to implement least-privilege IAM, MFA everywhere, and continuous compliance monitoring aligned to SOX and NIST frameworks. You will embed security guardrails into Infrastructure-as-Code templates, automate vulnerability scanning, and conduct tabletop DR exercises so that every system we touch is secure by design.
• • Automate everything, measure everything. Using PowerShell, Python, Ansible, and Terraform you will build self-service pipelines that provision servers, networks, and storage in minutes instead of days. You will instrument every layer with enterprise monitoring (Splunk, Nagios) and create actionable dashboards that give stakeholders real-time insight into performance, cost, and reliability.
• • Serve as the go-to escalation point and mentor. When the network blinks at 2 a.m. or a critical backup fails, you are the calm voice that triages, fixes, and documents the root cause. You will also coach junior engineers and sysadmins, run lunch-and-learn sessions on cloud best practices, and champion a culture of continuous improvement.
• • Optimize for cost, speed, and sustainability. You will right-size cloud resources, negotiate reserved instances, and implement lifecycle policies that cut waste without sacrificing performance. Your recommendations will directly influence our technology budget and help us maintain 26 consecutive quarters of net sales growth.
• • Collaborate across every function. Work shoulder-to-shoulder with Digital Commerce to ensure our e-commerce platform scales flawlessly on Black Friday, with R&D to spin up secure lab environments, and with Finance to automate SOX evidence collection. Your ability to translate technical trade-offs into business impact will make you a trusted advisor at the executive table.
• • Leave a lasting legacy. At the end of this six-month engagement you will hand over a fully documented, best-in-class infrastructure that the permanent team can operate with confidence. Your runbooks, architecture diagrams, and automation libraries will become the foundation for the next phase of e.l.f. Beauty’s digital transformation.
