Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Lead the full engineering organisation including product engineering, platform, technical support, and IT teams during a critical 6-month interim period.
- • Set, deliver, and report engineering OKRs and KPIs in partnership with the CPTO, focusing on deployment frequency, lead time to change, commitment vs. delivery ratio, cost to serve, and team health.
- • Coach and develop engineering managers and leads to build autonomous, self-sufficient delivery teams that operate without constant escalation.
- • Own hiring and performance decisions at the team level, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and cultural values.
- • Define and evolve the technical strategy for Beamery’s platform in close alignment with product and data science direction.
- • Embed AI-first ways of working across engineering teams to accelerate delivery pace, reduce time to market, and integrate AI as a core part of the development process.
- • Manage technical debt pragmatically through triage and execution aligned with strategic priorities set by the CPTO.
- • Own the cloud infrastructure strategy and platform architecture to ensure scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency at enterprise scale.
- • Drive delivery throughput, predictability, and platform reliability across all engineering teams through robust CI/CD, on-call protocols, incident management, and disaster recovery practices.
- • Ensure security and regulatory compliance across R&D and production platforms, including implementation of ISMS and adherence to applicable industry standards.
- • Manage relationships with critical third-party platform and technology suppliers to maintain seamless integrations and service levels.
- • Work as an equal partner to Product and Data Science to ensure engineering decisions are tightly tied to commercial outcomes: revenue, cost, speed, and reliability.
- • Stepping into a leadership void and rapidly building momentum to stabilise and advance engineering delivery during a period of growth and transition.
- • Maintain a clean handover mindset with clear documentation, process standardisation, and team readiness for long-term leadership continuity.
- • Champion an inclusive engineering culture rooted in trust, empathy, and honesty, enabling teams to bring their full selves to work.
- • Advance native integrations with SAP, Workday, Microsoft, and LinkedIn to embed Beamery’s skills intelligence into enterprise workforce platforms.
- • Leverage proprietary LLMs and knowledge graph technology to enhance talent pool expansion, fairer decision-making, and scalable opportunity access.
- • Support the embedding of agentic AI to power workforce strategies, internal mobility, and skills forecasting for enterprise clients.
🎯 Requirements
- • 15+ years of engineering experience with 7+ years leading organisations of 50+ at scale
- • Proven track record of stepping into leadership voids and rapidly building momentum in high-growth or transitional environments
- • Deep expertise in enterprise B2B SaaS — specifically multi-tenant, cloud-native platforms
- • Commercial fluency — ability to connect engineering decisions directly to business outcomes (revenue, cost, speed, reliability)
- • Strong people leadership skills — ability to identify, develop, and retain talent while building autonomous teams
- • Genuine AI-native mindset — actively uses AI to accelerate how teams build, not just what they build
🏖️ Benefits
- • Interim 6-month role with possibility of extension upon successful completion
- • Opportunity to lead engineering at a transformational AI platform serving over a million annual talent decisions
- • Collaborative partnership with Product and Data Science teams at the executive level
- • Work within a culture built on trust, empathy, and honesty that values inclusive expression and belonging
