This immersive experience is designed for ambitious individuals aspiring to build a career in the dynamic fields of cybersecurity, cyber threat intelligence, intrusion detection, and global incident response.
- • Your primary role will involve executing the core stages of the Intelligence Lifecycle. This means you will be instrumental in delivering tailored network defense intelligence assessments, providing critical insights to various Sony stakeholders across the organization. You will contribute directly to safeguarding Sony's vast information assets, services, and the products that rely on them, thereby reinforcing trust with customers and stakeholders and protecting the privacy of Sony's employees and customers.
- • A significant responsibility will be contributing to a daily summary report. This report will consolidate and disseminate crucial cyber threat news and intelligence relevant to Sony group companies worldwide, ensuring timely awareness and proactive defense strategies.

- • You will actively support projects aimed at enhancing data collection, refining interpretation processes, and advancing initiatives related to threat intelligence and overall information security. This includes contributing to the development and implementation of new methodologies and tools.
- • Developing and adhering to detailed operational processes and procedures is essential for maintaining consistency and effectiveness within the team. You will learn to document and follow established workflows, ensuring that security operations are conducted efficiently and reliably.
- • You will have the opportunity to assist other Security and Incident Response Teams, gaining exposure to different facets of cybersecurity operations and collaborating with cross-functional security professionals.

You will gain practical familiarity with essential methodologies, including detection, analysis, remediation, and the deployment of countermeasures, providing hands-on experience in managing security incidents.
- • You will learn to leverage common enterprise security tools and techniques, gaining practical skills applicable to real-world computer security investigations. This exposure will equip you with the foundational knowledge and practical abilities needed in the cybersecurity domain.
- • The internship emphasizes honesty, trustworthiness, and ethical conduct, which are material requirements for all responsibilities. You will operate within a framework of integrity, upholding Sony's commitment to security and data protection.
- • This 12-week program, running from June through August, offers flexibility with hybrid or fully remote work options, accommodating your learning and work style. The hourly rate is $24.00 for undergraduate candidates and $25.00–$27.00 for graduate candidates, with eligibility for overtime.
