- • As a Full Stack Developer Intern at G.E.H.A, you will contribute to meaningful work that supports the health and wellness of over two million federal employees, retirees, and their families by helping build and improve healthcare technology solutions in a mission-driven nonprofit environment.
- • This internship offers a structured 10-week program from June 8, 2026 to August 14, 2026, designed to provide real-world software development experience with potential pathways to full-time employment based on performance and business needs.
- • You will assist with the design, development, testing, and debugging of full stack applications, working directly on healthcare-related software systems that impact member experience and operational efficiency.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include documenting and testing changes to existing applications, supporting system maintenance and improvements, and researching emerging technologies to enhance application performance and usability.
- • You will collaborate closely with software engineers, analysts, and business partners in small, agile teams to gather requirements, implement solutions, and participate in code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- • The role involves contributing to potential projects such as enhancing existing web-based applications, developing new features across front-end and back-end components, improving application documentation, and prototyping tools that support development best practices.
- • You will be part of G.E.H.A’s Technology team, which operates with a focus on innovation, efficiency, and delivering personalized digital experiences to members through secure, scalable technology platforms.

🎯 Requirements
- • Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program in computer science, software engineering, engineering, mathematics, or a related technical field
- • Minimum 3.0 overall GPA
- • Experience with programming fundamentals and object-oriented concepts, plus exposure to one or more languages/frameworks such as JavaScript, .NET, C#, Java, or Python
