- • As an Intern, Learning and Development at Planet Labs PBC, you will contribute to building the Manager Essentials program from the ground up, supporting the People Team in creating foundational training for new and scaling managers across global offices.
- • Day to day, you will partner with the L&D Program Manager to design and build course modules in Rise and Skilljar, research instructional design best practices, develop assessments and facilitator guides, and help shape learning experiences that improve manager effectiveness in goal alignment, feedback, and coaching.
- • You will join a people-centric, mission-driven company that designs, builds, and operates the world’s largest satellite imaging constellation, combining space and data expertise to solve global challenges in environmental, commercial, and humanitarian sectors.
- • This role offers deep exposure to instructional design, learning technology platforms (Rise and Skilljar), curriculum development, and organizational learning strategy — allowing you to build tangible skills in adult learning, e-learning authoring, and management development while contributing to a strategic company initiative.
🎯 Requirements
- • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Learning Sciences, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Education, or a related field.
- • Solid attention to detail and organizational skills for precise course design, sequencing, and content accuracy.
- • Good writing skills to develop clear, concise, and accessible instructional content for managers with varying experience levels.
- • Ability to work collaboratively, take direction, contribute ideas, and solve problems creatively in a shared project with the L&D Program Manager.
- • Comfort with ambiguity and enthusiasm for building a new program from scratch, adapting as requirements evolve.
