📋 Description

• Report directly to the Internal Audit Manager as a key member of the Internal Audit team, operating remotely with optional access to the Irvine office.
• Perform testing of internal controls in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley and COSO Framework standards.
• Conduct financial and operational audits, analyzing financial statements to identify discrepancies, risks, and control weaknesses.
• Draft detailed audit comments and documentation to clearly communicate findings and recommendations to management.
• Engage with cross-functional management teams to collect necessary data, evidence, and explanations required for audit procedures.
• Follow up on prior internal and external audit findings to verify timely remediation and compliance with corrective actions.
• Perform risk and control assessments across business processes to evaluate effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies governing financial reporting and operational integrity.
• Utilize MS Office and accounting software to support audit documentation, data analysis, and reporting activities.
• Maintain precise attention to detail in all audit deliverables, ensuring accuracy and completeness of findings and documentation.
• Apply strong organizational and project management skills to manage multiple audit engagements simultaneously within deadlines.
• Communicate audit results clearly and professionally through both verbal and written channels to stakeholders at all levels.
• Demonstrate familiarity with information systems concepts, terminology, and controls relevant to audit testing and data integrity.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of audit processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional ethics in handling sensitive financial and operational information.
• Compensation is $65 to $80 USD per hour, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field
• 5+ years of experience as an Accountant, Senior Auditor, or similar role
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
• Strong knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley and COSO Framework
• Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills
