Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the full-cycle accounting and compliance for a portfolio of Palantir’s international subsidiaries, acting as the single point of accountability from trial balance to audited financial statements.
- • Record and review complex journal entries under both US GAAP and local GAAP, ensuring every number ties to source data and every adjustment is fully documented for auditors, tax authorities and internal stakeholders.
- • Lead the monthly, quarterly and annual close for assigned countries: reconcile inter-company positions, cash, tax and equity accounts; prepare flux analyses that explain material variances; and present findings to senior Finance leadership.
- • Coordinate with Big-4 auditors, local bookkeepers, tax advisors and legal counsel across multiple time zones to deliver timely statutory filings, census returns, transfer-pricing documentation and business-bidding support packages.
- • Translate local statutory results into US GAAP consolidation packages using NetSuite and Workiva, eliminating inter-company balances, validating foreign-currency translations and ensuring complete audit trails.
- • Design and drive process-automation initiatives—think RPA bots for recurring entries, Power BI dashboards for real-time KPIs, or streamlined templates that cut close time by days—while partnering with Engineering, Legal and HR to embed controls.
- • Act as a trusted finance partner to regional GMs, Legal and People teams by modelling the P&L impact of new entities, share-based payment schemes and cross-border restructurings, turning technical guidance into clear business recommendations.
- • Monitor evolving IFRS and local GAAP rules, tax regulations and industry guidance; assess their impact on existing policies and proactively update documentation, memos and training materials for a global audience.
- • Champion a culture of continuous improvement: challenge legacy workflows, pilot new tools, mentor junior analysts and share best practices across the broader Finance organisation to raise the bar on quality and speed.
- • Jump into ad-hoc projects—from M&A integration to ERP upgrades—bringing an analytical mindset, calm under pressure and the ability to translate complex data into concise narratives that influence executive decisions.
- • Thrive in a hybrid, high-growth environment where priorities can shift quickly; balance meticulous attention to detail with the agility to deliver accurate results under tight deadlines.
- • Represent Palantir externally with auditors, regulators and partners, upholding the company’s reputation for integrity, transparency and operational excellence while safeguarding sensitive financial data.
