- • The International Accounting Manager will play a critical role in building and maintaining the financial and accounting function for Skelar AS’s international group of companies, ensuring accurate, compliant, and efficient financial operations across multiple jurisdictions.
- • Day to day, the role involves configuring the chart of accounts, posting groups, and analytics in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central; migrating financial data from legacy systems; supporting FX revaluation, intercompany reconciliations, and IFRS adjusting journal entries; managing month-end close processes; overseeing full-cycle accounting for entities including AP, AR, bank reconciliations, payroll; ensuring VAT compliance (particularly Cyprus) and adherence to GAAP/IFRS across Cyprus, Estonia, UAE, Malta, and the UK; integrating financial processes via PSPs, bank feeds, and AI-powered invoice parsing; and documenting accounting policies and SOPs while supporting team onboarding.
- • The team operates within Skelar AS’s International Reporting and Tax Compliance function, part of a venture builder that creates and scales international tech businesses. Skelar AS is a Ukrainian venture builder focused on building globally competitive tech companies, supported by a strong founder community and internal functional clubs in finance, marketing, development, and more.
- • In this role, the individual will gain deep expertise in multi-jurisdictional IFRS accounting, ERP implementation (especially Business Central), international tax compliance, and financial process automation. They will have the opportunity to shape the financial infrastructure of a growing international group and develop leadership skills through ownership of end-to-end accounting outcomes.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3+ years of experience in international accounting, auditing, or finance (preferably in Big 4, consulting, or international tech)
- • Practical knowledge of IFRS and hands-on experience with multi-entity, multi-currency accounting
- • Experience working with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, SAP, Oracle, Xero, or similar
- • Understanding of VAT compliance in EU jurisdictions; Cyprus VAT experience is a plus
- • Full-cycle accounting experience from opening balances to financial statement preparation
- • Intermediate+ English (written and spoken)
- • Strong analytical and organizational skills, systemic thinking, and attention to detail
- • Proactive mindset with ownership mentality
