- • Twilio is seeking a highly motivated and collaborative International Tax Manager to join our dynamic Tax Team, based remotely in Ireland. This pivotal role will be instrumental in overseeing and managing all facets of our non-US corporate income tax matters, offering significant opportunities to contribute to broader corporate tax initiatives. If you are an experienced tax professional with a passion for international tax and a desire to grow within a leading communications technology company, this is an exceptional opportunity to make a substantial impact.
- • As the International Tax Manager, you will be responsible for the comprehensive end-to-end corporate income tax compliance cycle for all entities within the EMEA region. This includes the critical task of supervising and coordinating the efforts of the international tax team, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to all regulatory requirements. Your leadership will be key to the successful execution of these complex compliance activities.
- • You will act as the primary technical point of contact for our external tax advisors. This involves meticulous information gathering, proactive management of deadlines, and conducting detailed, substantive reviews of all tax returns prepared by external parties. Your analytical skills will be crucial in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of all submitted tax documentation.
- • A core responsibility will be the critical analysis and review of tax positions and calculations provided by external advisors. You will rigorously assess these to guarantee their accuracy, compliance with relevant tax laws, and alignment with Twilio's overall tax strategy. This proactive review process is essential for mitigating risk and ensuring robust tax governance.
- • You will forge a strong partnership with the international accounting team, providing essential support for the review of tax-related disclosures. This includes both current and deferred tax implications for local statutory financial statements across the EMEA region. Your collaboration will ensure seamless integration between tax and accounting functions.
- • This role also involves significant contribution to the US GAAP (ASC 740) tax provision process. You will assist in both the preparation and review of quarterly and annual tax provisions for the EMEA region, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with US accounting standards.
- • Staying ahead of legislative changes is paramount. You will actively monitor tax law updates in relevant countries, conduct thorough tax research, and interpret new regulations. This will involve documenting the company's tax positions and treatment to ensure ongoing compliance and strategic tax planning.
- • Developing and maintaining robust internal controls and governance over foreign income tax compliance and reporting is a key objective. You will play a vital role in strengthening our control environment, ensuring best practices are implemented and maintained across all international tax operations.
- • A forward-thinking approach is encouraged. You will proactively identify opportunities to enhance tax compliance processes and local tax reporting. This includes exploring and implementing automation solutions to drive greater efficiency, scalability, and accuracy in our tax operations.
- • As a leader within the tax team, you will be responsible for coaching and developing junior team members. Your mentorship will foster their professional growth, enhance team capabilities, and contribute to a high-performing tax function.
- • This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced, innovative, and remote-first environment. You will be part of a global team that is revolutionizing how the world interacts, contributing to Twilio's mission of empowering businesses with powerful communication tools. Your work will directly support Twilio's continued growth and success on a global scale.
- • The position requires a proactive, detail-oriented, and analytical mindset, coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should be comfortable working independently and as part of a collaborative team, managing multiple priorities effectively in a dynamic setting. Your ability to translate complex tax concepts into actionable insights will be highly valued.
- • Twilio's commitment to diversity and inclusion means we welcome candidates from all backgrounds and industries. We encourage individuals with unique experiences and perspectives to apply, as we believe these contribute to our innovative culture and overall success. If you are passionate about international tax and eager to contribute to a company that values its employees and fosters a culture of growth, we encourage you to explore this exciting opportunity.
