- • We're looking for software engineers to help us find and publish groundbreaking, front-page investigations on the rise and threat of AI slop.
- • You’ll work on building and running the research engine that we used to find undisclosed hallucinations and AI-generated content on the web.
- • Our work so far has produced widely covered reports examining published output from the world’s top consulting firms, and academic publishing venues, earning front-page coverage in the Financial Times, Forbes, The Telegraph, Bloomberg, and The Times of India.
- • The ideal candidate is adept at building pipelines for processing web-scale content, skilled at creating polished reports and visuals, and has a strong instinct for recognizing newsworthy findings.
- • You will be working directly with our CTO, AI research lead, and CEO, who are experts in their respective fields.
- • Our team is diverse, driven, and committed to making a permanent impact on the future of writing, and on humanity.
- • You will be responsible for using our AI detection and hallucination detection models to find compelling examples of AI slop on the internet and in publishing, synthesizing data into well-written prose, compelling visualizations and interactive user experiences, building search engine query generators and targeted crawlers for document collection on the web, building automations to monitor social feeds and generate leads, crafting machine learning ranking and classification systems to detect documents that have fabrications using LLMs, creating data processing pipelines that can operate robustly at scale, and helping improve our models based on how they perform on new domains and investigations we pursue.
- • You will be working with an experienced group of individuals, including ex-Google, Meta, Microsoft, Bloomberg ML, Uber, Vector, MILA, and Y-combinator and Obama scholarship recipients.
- • You will be responsible for telling creative and compelling stories using data, developing resilient data pipelines and long-running jobs, managing data using SQL, analyzing results and creating plots that communicate findings to stakeholders, working with web scraping and search at scale, and building basic cloud infrastructure.
- • You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, where you will be expected to be entrepreneurial and able to bootstrap different approaches of data acquisition, speak with stakeholders, and identify newsworthy content.
- • You will be responsible for finding data when others cannot, working with media and journalists, and identifying newsworthy content.
