📋 Description

• This part-time Investment Banking Associate role within Aptura’s AI Residency program bridges real-world finance expertise with frontier AI development, allowing you to shape how AI models understand complex corporate finance transactions.
• Day to day, you will generate, refine, and evaluate investment banking content—such as pitch decks, market updates, fairness opinions, and transaction analyses—to train AI systems in senior-level IB reasoning across M&A, capital markets, and syndication.
• Aptura, founded by ex-Lazard and Partners Group professionals, operates at the intersection of finance and AI, headquartered in London and San Francisco with a fully remote, global team focused on embedding human expertise into model training.
• In this role, you will deepen your understanding of AI development processes, contribute to cutting-edge research in financial AI, and gain rare insight into how leading AI labs refine model behavior using domain-specific expert input.

🎯 Requirements

• 3–7 years of investment banking or capital markets experience at a bulge bracket or elite boutique
• Associate, VP, or Director level in M&A, industry coverage, ECM/DCM, leverage finance, or syndicate
• Deep expertise in at least one area: M&A deal structuring/valuation, equity/debt capital markets execution, sector coverage, or syndicate/book-running
• Strong financial modeling skills (LBO, 3-statement, DCF) and ability to produce client-facing materials like pitch decks and fairness opinions
• Ability to articulate investment banking judgment clearly and precisely in writing
